Anyone on the edge of your seat waiting for these letters to come ??? This was the only university I applied to so I'm startling to get anxious !!! ?

I don't believe that is it. The group only has 3 members. Not sure why these groups are always so hard to find.

It could be because closed groups that are not searchable Closed groups are by invite only and not searchable even if you know the exact name. Membership is required to post to open groups but anyone can read the information.

Many nursing schools have a requirement to invite an instructor per school policy and thus had the list of current classmates to invite to join out closed groups. Many school permit these groups if it was closed, not searchable, and has an instructor/staff member as a group member with moderating privileges. To prevent academic dishonesty/cheating.

It's not a closed group. Also, there is no policy that requires an instructor to be an active member of the group; I've never heard of such a requirement. However, thanks.

Not for your school maybe......I personally know of schools that have this as a policy after some pretty embarrassing posts/behavior.

It really depends on the school....for your own piece of mind...double check your schools social media policy....many schools are now developing these policies due to HIPAA breeches and academic issues. The policies are catching up with the technology. I'd rather be safe than sorry. Whether you check or not is entirely up to you.

Yours is not the only FB group the doesn't come up in searches....I would pose that question to FB itself.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a doctor ? Mine is on vacation and won't be able to schedule me until the 20th of Aug. which I believe is past the due date for the physical:unsure:

I was reading on the required items we will need to purchase at orientation like nurse patches and scrubs. How many of those things do we think we need?

I registered for the background check and I'm getting confused with the due dates of things. When I made a profile, under the "Clinical Requirements CB24: Nursing Pre-licensure Fall 2013" category, there is the list of shots and other health documents needed to complete. Along with the list are different due dates. My question is about the email about our background check. Its says all health forms and lab/tests results are due July 12 but when I check online on the certifiedbackground.com account says various dates from Aug, Sept, etc. Does anyone else have this confusion?

I think you just have to register on the website by July 12 and those documents are due in Aug 15. After I registered it showed I had documents that were past due , but I think it's just something they didn't update with the website because its the exact due date just off by a year . I think we are fine though.

I could be wrong, but my understanding from the email is that the background check and drug test have to be done by July 12th, while most of the other stuff by Aug 15th.

I just called the department and was informed that they are working through the middle portion right now. I'm in the middle section as well. Keep strong and stay positive! Good luck to us both! :)

I too broke down yesterday before I saw your post and emailed ------------ about the waitlist. She said they were definitely into the middle third and still awaiting students replies, as all the spots have yet to be filled!!! That's good news, right? I don't know if the emails sent out to those already off the waitlist are time sensitive, I would hope they are so they can just keep working up the list! I'll be sending good vibes your way as well! :) Good luck!
