Anyone on the edge of your seat waiting for these letters to come ??? This was the only university I applied to so I'm startling to get anxious !!! ?
I chose Concord, as it's a semester shorter. I passed up a couple of quality accelerated programs to stay local, so I'm all for doing whatever I can to speed this thing along without sacrificing essentials (pathophysiology, pharmacology, senior preceptorship) or going into a deep pit of debt.
Which did you chose?
Welcome to the Concord campus. I think you made the right decision and will end up loving the decision you made. I'm looking forward to seeing all the new faces on July 18th at orientation.

I chose Hayward since it's closer to my house. Looks like most people who left comments in this forum are going to Concord campus as well.
Anyone know the start date ??? Trying to take one last family vacation before hitting 2&1/2 years of school lol !
First day of classes is September 25th as per the university website. But don't forget there will be mandatory meetings such as orientation and CPR class that you must attend. Make sure to plan your vacation around these :)
Hello, I will be applying to CSUEB SON this fall for fall of 2014, and had some questions.
When you apply to the SON, do you automatically apply to both campuses or can you choose a preference? Or do you need to send two different applications for each campus?
Also, how long would anyone recommend for studying for the teas? I want to take it in september and I need to start preparing.

When you apply, you're essentially applying to both campuses, but in reality, it's one program split between the two. Once you're accepted, you have the option of either campus, and it's on a first come, first serve basis.
I think the studying time for the TEAS varies from person to person. I didn't study at all for my first try and got an 84%. I took the second try much more seriously, but didn't start studying up until the night before the exam. I was awake from 12am to 5am reviewing everything, then stopped studying, got in the shower, went to take the test, and ended up with a 94.7%. I'm sure there are people who did the exact opposite as I did, and studied their butts off for months in advance, but I'm a big believer in not over-studying anything. I think a good rule of thumb before you even begin thinking about taking it is to make sure you've already taken micro and anat/phys I and II because you'll need that knowledge for the test. Chemistry plays a lesser role. I'd give it a week of studying prior to the exam, first taking the practice exam and then reviewing any spots where you feel you're weakest. The second time around, refocus on what you did well on, and make sure you look at the test results to give you hints on exactly what you need more help with. I found that the result explanations were INDISPENSABLE and completely responsible for how I did the second test.
Hey everyone! I was on the top 1/3 of the wait list and received an email that spot opened up. I sent my response back right away, Friday the 14th, stating that I would love to take the spot. I have not received a follow up email yet or any type of communication from the school. Anyone else on the wait list have a similar situation?
