I called Jorge today, and he said that decision was mailed yesterday (Not sure if all decisions, or just some, or just mine. He was referring to my case. Sorry, forgot to ask. :imbar)

He won't say over the phone which way my case goes.

It just remains to wait.

At least decisions have been made for you so you know you will be getting something in the mail at least by next week. I'm still a sitting rock:sniff:...I actually called him a couple of days ago and he said that decisions have still not been made on me but he is hopeful to review it by the end of this week. I know he is really busy and he might forget so I don't know if I should call him today to see if decisions were at least made for me so I can start checking the mail like a madd woman again:D, lol. Anyhow, hang in there and let me know when you get in and I'll do the same. Stay optimistic!

Thanks for kind words. I called graudate admissions today, and they say that they did not hear from nursing office yet. I think that pretty much seals that I'm not going to get in.

I really think that there must be a better way to do this. I applied last October and did interview in December. There is no reason to sit on this till May in my opinon. Sour grape? A little bit of that, too :)

I found out today that I at least got into CSULB. That helps.

Congrats on getting into CSULB! I keep getting the same type of response from them too. I am getting reallly really worried because it's the only school I applied to. I'll keep praying that I get in.

I am happy to see other who have applied to CSUDH..I thought I was the only one on allnurses. I got into the regular MSN program but am thrilled to see other applying to Dominguez Hills. :yeah:Now to make a decision on the school and register, or not. My hsband says I am waffling.

Hi my fellow CSUDH troopers. I just got a sad letter in the mail today. I have been put on a "short wait list". I am so crushed and cannot stop crying. Somehow, I managed to post this thread because I wanted to update you all. It definitely doesn't feel good at all to be rejected. I have been so anxious to post an axciting thread about "getting in" but I was not one of the chosen ones :sniff:

I called Jorge and he said that I may have a spot if someone decides not to attend. The way everyone is shouting out their acceptances and all, I dont think I have any chances. Thank you all for the support and Good Luck to all of you on all your future endeavours! :specs:

I am sorry you did not get an acceptance letter. It is a VERY real possibility that you will get a spot. Medical students who get on the alternate list celebrate because they know that someone will drop out. I am anxious just to hear anything at this point. I wish you the best and hope you feel better. Someone else on this thread got several rejection letters before getting an acceptance so it's not over yet.

Thank You so Much for those kind words. I am definitely not giving up on Nursing because it is my passion. Good Luck to you as well and I will sure keep you posted if my status changes and you do the same.

hey Ba2LaCa. i'm sorry to hear that you've been waitlisted. BUT i think you have a really good chance of getting in because since CSUDH is sending out notifications pretty late, people who have been offered spots in other programs first may have agreed to attend those programs instead. alright, let us know what happens.

p.s. if this option doesn't work out for you, there are many other options out there. i know of this one Accelerated BSN program (OU at GAMC) that admits students 3x a year (so you can still apply for the fall term - deadline is in june). you get a bsn in a matter of 14 months (i applied to that one as well)!

I never looked into that aspect (the fact that admission letters went out late so some students may have chosen other programs). That really does put me at some eas. Thank you so much for making that point! Now, I feel like there is hope. Also, what is the full name of the Accelerated BSN program you mentioned? I am interested in applying there as well and couldn't dind it. Thanks again!

I agree that you should be hopeful that you are on a short list. Most people apply to a couple different schools and once the school know who is accepting and who's not they can admit people from the wait list. Hang in there! I know that's hard.
