Csuci nursing fall 2019

Published

Hey everyone!

I know its a bit early but time flies fast and I pretty nervous so I'm sure other people are too. Is anyone applying to CSUCI this upcoming semester for fall 2019? Just wanted to make this so we can talk about goals, nerves, points, and ask questions! Also, if there are any current or past CSUCI nursing students...any advice? Hope to hear from u guys!

Waiting is the worst! I haven’t applied to any other programs yet, but I’ll be applying to Moorpark’s ADN when spring applications open, as well as CSUN’s ABSN, and probably Ventura, and wherever else lol

Im working on finishing up Microbiology and some places don’t allow in-progress. Have you applied anywhere else?

I applied to CSULB, CSULA, AND SDSU. So far I found out that I was waitlisted for SDSU, I got in to CSULA, and I had my interview for CSULB yesterday. My #1 choice is CSUCI though so Im hoping for the best!!

Hey guys does anyone know when we should be hearing back about decisions? My application says reviewed and I have no idea what that even means- can anyone help?

In past threads they found out like exactly a month after the application closed. So I'm thinking we will probably hear back after March 28th. So end of March first week of April hopefully. The waiting is killing me :(

Thank you so much! Hopefully we all get into CI!! ☺️

Hi guys! Has anyone checked their portals? Not the nursing ones, but the school itself. I just checked and it says admitted, but does that mean for nursing? I dont want to get my hopes up but does anyone know what this means?

Hello, I saw you on the CSULA forum and I have a question. So I applied to CSULA unfortunately I did not get in (24 pts). What was the name of the chemistry class you took? Apparently CSUCI does not accept Fundamentals of Chemistry, which is the name of the chemistry class I took at CSULA. I am now planning on applying here as well for fall 2020 that's why.

Im sorry to hear that! Yeah, CI doesn't take fundamentals courses so I had to retake it. I originally took it at pierce college but since they didn't accept it I took chem M11 at Moorpark.

If I remember correctly, you can be admitted to the school but not necessarily the nursing program. For me, since I’m a post-bac student I am only allowed admittance to the school if I’m also in the nursing program, but for people who don’t have their previous bachelors degree it’s the opposite. You can be admitted to the school, and still not get in. Did you apply as an undergrad or a post-bac?

Yeah I called the school and they told me it means I got into CI but not necessarily the nursing school! I applied as an undergrad.

Hi guys. Wishing the best for everyone. I was wondering if anyone has called the nursing department about decisions? It’s so nerve wrecking.
