I didn't see a thread started for this yet and I was wondering if anyone else has been accepted to the Fall 2015 ABSN program at CSUSM yet? I received an email from CSUSM on 1/22/2015 that my application had been received. I finished my application online back in December 2014 but it took several calls to the Extended Learning office to get my application from "Saved" to "Posted" status.
@thepilgrim1923 I am currently in the ABSN program at CSUSM, I will graduate in Aug 2016, cohort #20. Concerning your question for the GE courses and all the ABSN courses, you go through as a cohort. You don't get to pick your classes, times or teachers, they are given to you. The only thing you can sign up for, and this is a recent change, is where to have your clinical and on what day. But it is kind of a free for all as registration opens at one time and everyone in the cohort is trying to sign up online at the same time. So don't expect to get the clinical placement you want for your #1 choice, always have a plan B. Good luck!
Hi everyone! When you sent in your teas scores, did you mail the purchased transcript through the ATI website or did you just print out the assessment report and mail that in?I know this is an old thread, but if anyone can answer this question it'd be greatly appreciated!
They give the option to send it as an attachment on your application. Unless they changed it very recently, I would call in just to make sure.
By the way, has anyone else gotten accepted into Spring 2016?
When I attended the ABSN informational for CSUSM, the academic advisor suggested we put them in the packet with all the other paperwork we need to send in to be considered for the program so I just did that. He suggested doing that because all of your documents will arrive at the sametime which makes it easier for the admissions committee to make their decision when considering you.
Hi hydralover. I applied to the fall and got in for the spring. Don't lose hope! There aren't very much of us so far. It seems like they're sending out batches of acceptance emails once a week. and FYI.. there's a separate thread for Spring 2016
