Hello,
Has anybody been accepted into the ABSN program at CSU San Marcos? If so, would you mind sharing your pre-nursing course grades, and your TEAS score?
I'm asking because I will be applying for Spring 2010, and I'm would like to know if I will be competitive or not. I couldn't find any information about this online. I just submitted my first assessment application, and I am waiting to hear back.
So far I have completed all of the prerequisites except for Chemistry and Physiology (Chemistry is in progress right now, and I will take Physiology next Spring).
I received B's in Anatomy and Microbiology, and A's in everything else.
I'm studying like mad for the TEAS test also.
Thank you for your help. :wink2:

I didn't get into San Marcos but apparently they are starting an ABSN program at a satellite school in Temecula that I was accepted into.
It sounds like you've got a pretty good shot at getting in. I had A's in most of the pre-reqs except for Chem and Micro which I got B's in and got a C in Stats. I think I didn't get into the main campus because I only got 80% on the TEAS. I kind of messed up on the math part and didn't have enough time to fill in all my scantron. This site has a pretty good overview of what's going to be on the TEAS. Just brush up on the parts you think you're weak on.

Good luck!

Hi Torasamu,
I am applying for the Spring 2010 ABSN program, too, at CSU San Marcos. I have been emailing one of the advisors, Jajuan, with all my questions and he has been very helpful. He told me that the ABSN program is not impacted and that last year they were able to accept everyone who met the prerequisites. Hopefully, that stays the case and that we will get in!
If you have other questions, go to the website and call of the advisors or email your questions. http://www2.csusm.edu/el/acceleratedbsn/contact_information.php
I emailed my questions to [email protected] and Jajuan responded back to me.
Did you buy the ATI TEAS study guide and from where? I'm trying to find one for a cheap/good price and am planning to take it in November or December. How about you?
Good luck!!
Hi Code3EMT,
I was wondering if you took your TEAS exam at the CSU San Marcos nursing campus? I noticed on the San Marcos website that you need an ATI username for the test day, but read that you used a scantron. So, I was wondering if you read the question on the computer, then fill in your answer on the scantron...or what the test format is?
Thanks for your help. Good luck in the program!!
Actually I took the test at Santa Ana College. Then I sent my results to San Marcos. I think most of the campuses that offer the TEAS test are done by computer but for some reason SAC was done by scantron and mailed to ATI for grading.
Hi prern06,
Thank you for the information. I did order the TEAS prep materials from ATI, but I haven't received them yet. I'll probably take the exam around December, or a little later. I'm really focusing on my last two prerequisites right now though.
Thanks again, and good luck to you too.

Hi,
I 've applied the ABSN spring 2010. How many pre requisites are you left? I still need Micro and will take it in Fall.
I got 88.8% on my TEAS
As in most prerequisites
I am finishing up Oral Communication right now, and taking Anatomy w/ lab in the fall. Have you heard any updates about the program? Or how many they'll be accepting or how many people have applied?
I havent receive any responses from the school , but I keep sending them the updated transcripts.
The school will take around 100 students, 50 on campus and 50 in Temecula
I dont know how many applicants are there, but it seems competitive to me..
Anyway, good luck too~~
