CSU Long Beach BSN Spring 2023

Published

Hi everyone! I know application cycle starts in August but I wanted to create this forum just in case somebody has questions and perhaps share some stats.

Mine are:

Science GPA: 4.0

Cumulative GPA: 4.0

TEAS Composite: 98.0

TEAS Reading: 93.6

I hope we can create a group chat of some sort so it's easier for us to communicate whenever someone has questions during the application period!

Oh yeah. I already joined the group.

Awesome!

After reviewing the orientation agenda, how do you know if you are an out-of-town or a local student? Do local students refer to individuals who only live in Long Beach or those who live within the local preference of the school? It seems they would have to get their uniforms fitted on Sunday instead, while out-of-town students get theirs done from 3-5 pm on Dec. 10th.

If you have a scheduling conflict, contact (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) I had one and let her know. She said they will most likely work with me and to just confirm with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) on the day of orientation.

Got it. Does this mean local students leave at 3 pm instead of 5 pm? Fortunately, I don't have a schedule conflict and seem to be a local student.

I think so!

have any of you filled out the FAFSA application? Should I wait until after orientation when we find out whether we're semester/trimester?

I filed mine already, you don’t need to know semester or trimester for it so you should be all good to fill it out!

Hey guys! For pre-nursing students, did any of you guys receive acceptance email yet? My anxiety is driving me nuts.

Did you get in ? Ill be applying Spring 2024 and just looking at peoples impact score and if they got accepted

Hello all!

I'm reapplying for Spring 2024 since I got rejected for Fall 2023. My current stats:

GE GPA: 4.0

Science GPA: 4.0

TEAS Composite: 87.3%

TEAS Reading: 82.1%

Impact Score: 9.388

Not feeling too confident with my reading and overall score, but it was my first attempt taking it. Either way, just hoping for the best atp and good luck to everyone else!

Nice job! Usually the threshold is about 9.3 and Spring is definitely way less competitive. To anyone else reading this comment that's applying for future semesters, take the TEAS twice!! Same test and you're more likely to get a higher score. Currently in semester 3/5 and I know my cohort's threshold was around 9.3 so I'm rooting for you!

Thanks! I got the official offer today. I am considering the accelerated program, but I'm wondering if it didn't end up working out for me, could I move to the traditional BSN track? I think they mentioned something about this during the comm exercise, but do you know if this is possible?
