CSU Long Beach BSN Spring 2023

Hi everyone! I know application cycle starts in August but I wanted to create this forum just in case somebody has questions and perhaps share some stats. 

Mine are:

Science GPA: 4.0

Cumulative GPA: 4.0

TEAS Composite: 98.0

TEAS Reading: 93.6

I hope we can create a group chat of some sort so it's easier for us to communicate whenever someone has questions during the application period!

When do you guys think decisions will be released this time around? I've been obsessively checking the self service LOL

@MonChouxChoux I think the decision for self service was released on Oct 28 last year so I’m hoping by the end of this week or sometime next week! I keep checking everyday as well. How did your second interview go by the way?

Oooh I really hope it's this week...!! I think the second interview went okay but I thought the initial one went okay too so I'm not getting my hopes up haha. && there were only 5 other ppl so I'm curious what the criteria was for the re-interview...

@MonChouxChoux Yes I really hope it comes by the end of the week, but if not I definitely think it will come next week as that’s around the time they sent out the emails to current csulb pre-nursing students last year! Also I hope the second interview went well for you!

if im not mistaken, I think I heard that they would be released during mid-late November. im not 100% sure though. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if it’s released in october or November :’)

I checked some previous forums (LOL wait is also killing me) and seen that decisions were out around Nov 8th! So I’m hoping ours is gonna be earlier than they said too. 
 

how are you guys “checking”? I was thinking we would wait for an email, but what’s the self service thing?

Yes I think an email for the current Csulb pre-nursing students was sent out on Nov. 8th since they can’t check self service as that’s only for transfer/2nd Bach students. It seems like the decision is first sent out to 2nd Bach students then transfer students through the self service and for some reason they usually send an email out to the current pre-nursing students last. So last year 2nd Bach students got the decision on Oct. 28 and then transfers were around Nov. 2 or 3 and then lastly current Csulb students were around Nov. 8th. I believe they also told them the same time line as us that the decision would be release mid to late Nov but they usually send it out earlier than that from what I can tell!

Oh dang! Well that’s exciting, we could be really close to finding out. I how do you access the self service portal? I’ve never heard of it

Look of CSULB Self-service, and it should be in the first link, then click “check my application status” then follow that link. Then you’ll have to put in your CSULB student number, and then just follow the rest of the instructions it has!

Looks like no decision this week ? but I really think we should be receiving admissions decisions by the end of next week based on previous years! Happy Halloween to everyone as well!
