Hi everyone!
I'm currently on my journey to applying to CSUFullerton's ELMSN program for 2012. Has anyone taken the TEAS yet? Have you already attended their info session?
I was taking prereqs for a good year or so after I graduated from undergrad. But I've been working for about a year to save up money and such.
I'm currently trying to get back into school-mode: taking a chem class (b/c CSUF won't take the previous chem class i took) and public speaking this semester. Planning on taking the TEAS in October and maybe again in December if I don't do so well.
If anyone currently in the program can give some advice or if you're looking to apply for 2012, sound off here!!

Hello!
I am also on the journey to apply for Fullerton ELMSN program. I have not taken the TEAS yet, but I am registered in November :/ If I don't do so hot I am also going to try again in December. Did you purchase the study book online from the TEAS website? I just bought a generic study book, but I'm wondering if that will prepare me enough. I haven't attended an info session either.
I'm totally in your boat. I have just been working to save up some money to start applying, but I currently switched my career path, so it has been difficult! Where did you go to undergrad? I have been trying to get into some classes, but have been unsuccessful. They are all full at community colleges around me!
Good luck with everything!
Hi BriRose!
I went to undergrad at UCSD but studied political science so I had to take all those science prereqs once i had already graduated - i know what you mean, getting into those classes are brutal! But keep trying, I eventually got all my classes, even if it took some time.
I'm taking the TEAS at the end of this month and already signed up for the december one also, since we're allowed to take it twice! Standardized testing is not my forte so i'm glad they give us more than one chance, haha.
Are you planning on applying this round? I'm working through the CSUF app and it's more work than I realized, haha.

Hello,
I am in the same boat with you guys. I got a BS in Finance, and now I have to take most of the prereqs first in order to apply for the EL-MSN.
Plus, I have a toddler at home, so I don't think I am good to apply for the program until 2014 while he will attend to the kindergarten. I have a long long way to go.
Good luck, guys!

I see, awesome, are you from San Diego?
Yeah the pre reqs are rough, especially when you already did four years :/ Luckly I got my Bachelors in Biology, but even then, Fullerton is the only nursing school that match all my pre reqs exactly. Every other school I will need to get some more classes done. Plus, I took Chemistry my freshmen year, so it wont be good anymore with this this five-year rule most schools have. The whole nursing school thing is so new to me because I spent college focusing on dental school....
I hope the TEAS went well for you! I'm taking mine on the 18th, and I am so nervous. Standardized testing is not my stregth either. Even if I know the material well, I sike myself out
Yeah I am applying this round. Same here, it is a lot of work, and I totally didn't realize we had to write a personal statement (not so smart on my part haha). Glad the app leads you through all the steps though! I can't wait to get it done, then step one will be down :) Good Luck with everything!

Hi, yeah changing career paths isn't fun But it is so worth it cause this is the work we will be doing the rest of our lives, so whats a couple years of preparation? I wish you the best of luck with your pre reqs!

Hey guys,
Looks like we're all in the same boat. I'm planning to apply for this cycle, but I don't like the fact that I need to have all my pre-reqs done by the app deadline. I have my BS and did some of my chem classes way longer than five years ago. Other than that, I have all my pre-reqs done. I'm also taking my TEAS V on Nov.18 Hope to see you at the test and good luck with the apps!

I'm also Applying here and a couple of other programs. I'm trying to figure out where to take the TEAS. How did it go for those that took it? Thank you!

You can take it a CSU Fullerton i believe.
About the program, anyone not to crazy that the program is so long?
@BriRose: No, I just went to San Diego for school but I do visit quite often :) Yeah, the application process is kind of different. I believe last year you had to apply to the SON first and THEN CSUF, but this year it's the other way around. I'm actually finishing up my personal statement now...I know, such a procrastinator -_-
@star28 - I believe CSFullerton's sessions are all full for the TEAS but I know CSULB will be offering one sometime in January. Usually the scores come out within a day (if you do a paper/pencil test, it's faster when it's on the computer though) so it should give you plenty of time to take it before the SON apps close.
Applications are due soon! Ekk! Good luck to everyone! Lets keep each other updated :)!
Now the waiting game! I hope everyone got their application turned in on time
I wish the School of Nursing would send out like a verification email that they received it or not...i'm just a little paranoid, haha.
Also, did everyone get accepted by CSUF (not the school of nursing)? Mine is still under progress because they're waiting for one of my final transcripts...and I sent several weeks ago. Should I just resend it or just wait it out..??

Hi everyone! I just got an invitation to interview on the 22nd of this month, however, I really need to switch this date with anyone who has been invited for the April 22nd interview date?! Please! I am supposed to be leaving the country that morning, and it will be very hard for me to change my flight. However, if I need to, I will. Please get back to me if you are interested in switching your April 15th with my March 22nd. Thank you and good luck!
