Well I have an experience on the International version. I didn't know there was International vision out there until some people were selling some International versions on Amazon. So right that second, I immediately looked up the books availabilities in Hong Kong online bookstores. They were really selling it, I told my friend bought it for me immediately and air mailed it to me. I saved a half of it at least in each book throughout my college time. I would suggest that is there any one selling the International versions on Amazon, if there is, see their comments on the book, see if they could use the book for their class or not. Actually, there were some books in International version missing some pages, not a lot, just some, so I borrowed the book from my classmate and photocopied the differences. At last, like Humulus' saying if your professor would let you use the older version, this is the first choice, otherwise, get an International version then.

I am sure you can explain it well in your nursing essay while you apply for the admision in future. Especially when it is a long time ago, I am sure they can understand it too as long as you will get all good grades in future, they will definiately realize you are a totally different person. I am sure you can a different person now than a few years back as you are a MOM now. I am a mom too. So I know the differences. Myself got a BA in finance, as the economy isn't doing very great. Plus my son has really influenced me of the life views. I just changed my mind to be wanting an nurse. And I just started taking the pre-requisite courses in CC now and preparing to apply for the ABSN next year (hopefully). It all matters how you work ahead, not the PAST. Good luck to you.

I am wondering what about if you get a MSN? Would you get more chance to be hired as well? I got a bachelor degree in Finance, now I am considering to change my career. And I am planning to get into the accelerated BSN program if they would accept me, otherwise, I would have to think of the Entry level - MSN program as well. Depend on which one would accept me as all the nursing programs are so competitive. However, I would have to take all the pre-requite courses first.

Hello, I am in the same boat with you guys. I got a BS in Finance, and now I have to take most of the prereqs first in order to apply for the EL-MSN. Plus, I have a toddler at home, so I don't think I am good to apply for the program until 2014 while he will attend to the kindergarten. I have a long long way to go. Good luck, guys!

Hi Toysdream: I have the same question that Momat had. I couldn't find the ABSN program from Azusa Pacific U, may I know which campus you got the information from? I am in Orange County, I found out I have two around my area only, one is called Corcondia University in Irvine and the other one is Mt. St. Mary College in downtown LA. I am also very new to this site. I had a BS in Finance. Now I would like to change my career completely. I have decided to take some prerequisite courses in the local CC first then apply for the ABSN. I searched for the ABSN program that takes only from 12-18 months to be completed. That's why it is called Accelerated, it wouldn't be taking for 3 years that long. Thanks!
