Is anyone applying for Spring 2015 Nursing Program 2015? I applied for Fall 2014 with 37 points and will be applying for Spring 2015 with 38 points. Does anyone have pointers for the application process? Has anyone gone to the limited entry workshop? I have been discouraged, and need some uplifting information.
That's what I was going to order too, I was at the sketcher outlet in downtown Summerlin they have ones with strings and no strings, they have buy one get your second for 50% off, they have these black ones that look like clogs all canvas, I was going to get those for labs, bc I think I read we can wear any color to lab, but I wanted to wait to see what everyone else was getting.

Yes, you can wear any color for lab.
I have a question, I know some books you use again in future semesters...which ones? I want to know which ones I should rent from amazon and which I should actually buy and keep.
I asked Christina731 the same thing. She recommended to get all books used or new since alot of them we will use again in the future. She also said that the dictionary she rarely used because of Google so if I wanted to just rent that one it should be fine. She also stated that the nutritional foundations book rarely got used all semester so to save cost I could buy the previous edition. Due to money, I ended up renting the current edition for pharmacology, the dictionary, nutritional foundations, and physical assessment. After receiving my books and going thru them I realize that the pharmacology book is definitely one I need to buy this summer before next semester starts. The dictionary doesn't seem like anything that Google can't handle. The nutrition book I kinda feel the same way about but we will see. I haven't received my physical assessment book yet but I'm thinking about just buying the pocket companion version this summer if I feel it's necessary to have for next semester.... there's my logic 😊 hope this helps 😉

Thanks it does help...I was thinking of buying the fundamentals of nursing one and renting most of the others. If I need it I can always buy it then?
I rented everything, I already had the dict., the only thing I did not get yet is the neighborhood, or the new one they added for $197 and that one is online as well. I just was wandering if anyone got any recommended ones...like the study guides ....if anyone knows if they will help at all
You will be reading from the assessment book, foundations and pharm books constantly! 20 chapters on foundations alone in the first week. Buy the main books and rent the supplements if you want, nanda and stuff like that are ok for older editions.
If you can post a picture of the list I can be more specific if you'd like.

Pharm and physical assessment will be used each semester so you may want to buy those. I referred to both in my last paper of my last semester. The pocket companion of the physical assessment book will not suffice. Get used to spending lots of money now. Unfortunately it does not end :/

I wouldn't get any recommended books. You have plenty of info in the required books and I don't think it's necessary to spend extra money on that stuff. I would buy most of the required books, new or used. You will continue to use them in all 4 semesters. Many instructors require you to cite them specifically for specific papers.

I believe it only needs to be an all white pair of shoes...I bought the sketchers work sneakers since I didn't have any all white shoes.
