Is anyone applying for Spring 2015 Nursing Program 2015? I applied for Fall 2014 with 37 points and will be applying for Spring 2015 with 38 points. Does anyone have pointers for the application process? Has anyone gone to the limited entry workshop? I have been discouraged, and need some uplifting information.

Would it be okay to get Nursing diagnosis handbook and Mosbys manual of diagnostic and laboratory test as old editions? Or is it better to just get the correct version?

For the lab manual that should be ok because each reference (your main text for the class, the lab value book, a hospital lab) might use a different reference range for a particular value.

For the nursing diagnosis book I would get the current edition so you are able to cite the most current evidence based practice for your interventions. Also, NANDA diagnoses change periodically so it's good to have the most current one so you're not using an outdated diagnosis. That will be like your bible throughout school so it's best to have the most current edition.

Has anyone bought their uniforms yet? Are you able to just go in and grab them off the rack or do you have to wait for them to be ordered in?

Does anyone know about Jan 16 when we meet with or advisor. Are we just going on campus for that 15 min do we have other things to do on that day. Just want to know if I need to take the day off or not.

I can't remember the times we are supposed to be there the 15th and 16th. Does anyone know?

I don't remember them even talking about the orientation on the 15th and what time it was; then again they missed going over other stuff too. I assumed it was all day again and we would get an email or something.

For the 16th, the packet stated that you were required to contact your assigned advisor after Dec. 15th to make the 15 min. appointment.

I found the paper listing the dates and times. We have to be there 1/15 from 8 to 4 and then we have our 15 minute meeting on the 16th and they give us the time for that at the orientation on the 15th.

I already have my appointment time with my advisor on the 16th, I called on the first day we were allowed back in mid December. If I were you I would call them asap to schedule it so that you get a time that works for you, not so much whatever time is left. 😉 Otherwise thank you for the times on the 15th. I figured it was an all day event again 😩😁

I did my cpr with staying alive cpr and safety. The lady was great. She comes to your house or you can get together. The price is 40 unless you can get a group together and maybe get a discount. It takes a couple of hours and she is nice.
