Hello everyone, I'm new to the site and I was wondering if there are any fellow CSN RN Spring '13 hopefuls out there. I just turned in my application today and I would love to get to know some of my potential classmates through this forum :)
I called the nursing dept 651-5649. I tried to call a few times before and it was busy then went to voicemail so I gave it another try and she answered! We have to pick up our packets 10/31 any time between 12:30-6. I'm so happy right now!!!!!!! Can't wait to meet you all at orientation!!!!:D

What room do we have to go to again to pick up our packet? I must have been to excited I can't read my own writing.
I had 24 points, I'm an alternate but they're still going to choose alternates based on points so I probably won't get in.
I saw the alternate list when I went to get my letter today an I think there were only like 10 names on it so you may have a good chance! People always drop/decline their spots so just stay positive!
Hi everyone...ok so the new freakout has begun...does anyone know what the ATI test that we have to take on January 7th is?..how much is it?...again congrats to everyone who is in and good luck to the alternates
so funny, I am wondering the same thing!!! it's probably a pesonality test or something...I hope but I guess we pay for it? I am sure some bright and experienced person will inform us!
From what I heard from friends from other nursing programs, ATI is a series of nursing modules where we learn nursing skills, like sterile technique, inserting a foley, etc. They will probably use it as a learning tool for us to use while in the program. You can also take practice exams and what not. I know for a fact there is an exit exam with ATI when we are done with the program, we cannot take NCLEX until we pass the ATI exit exam.
On another note, how many of you are looking to purchase insurance? Anyone have any insight on which one to purchase? Thanks in advance! And I'll see all of you on the 9th!

The school gives out the information for a company that charges about $150 per semester (at least that is what is was 2 semesters ago when I needed it for my CNA courses.) It is enough to count for the program but it really is horrible insurance that will only kick in if you are in some sort of accident with extremely high medical bills.

I emailed the LE office...no official applicant count/point cutoff yet. She said they may know after orientation.
