i work as a cna in ltc and i certainly believe that they work with your schedule because you work 3 on and 4 off with 12 hour shifts so you have the benefits of full time work with the benefits of part time work all rolled in one!

sidenote: i will be going down to part time (i.e. 2 on 5 off) when i start ns at least for the first semester in order to give myself adequate study time and relaxation time while in school.

also working as a hha for a homecare agency also is very flexible or you could even go private with that. try nursing homes if you already have your cna or home health if you dont. its great experience and very flexible. i do both btw!

woohoo btw the lady who accepts the packets told me that i didn't have to resubmit and that they will be able to evaluate my application regardless of when i turned it in! yay

hello everyone!

i am applying for the full time track spring 2012 i will turn in my application next week after meeting with my health advisor. i was wondering if you guys just stapled your packet together, or did you put them into a folder or binder and turn them in that way? did you take the packet to building k or did you mail it?

thanks and good luck everyone!:yeah:

I simply handed the packet to the office in the K-building. Actually the limited entry office is right across from the advisement office. You may staple it all together, but the staple might be removed so that the pieces of the packet are verified to be all together. I wouldn't mail it because this is too important for me to have somehow lost in the mail.

yea i slipped it under the door...wanted to make sure everything was personally taken care of...the lady even verified that she received it!

I plan on transferring my last NSC credits next week. Is there any trick to getting them evaluated asap? I will take it directly to the Cheyenne campus- but those people just seemed brainless last time I did this! Any advice?

umm you need to go to the charleston campus because they will be handling your app not the cheyenne campus.

Cheyenne Campus is where the credit evaluation takes place, or it was when I applied. Tell the people at the registration desk that you are a nursing student and need it to be rushed, if possible try and get them to walk it up to the lady who does the credit evaluation right there and then, however they don't always accommodate that request.
