CSN RN Spr 2012 applicants When Are You Turning In Your Packets?

hello all!

i was just wondering, for those of you that are applying to csn's spring 2012 full time or part time rn program, when are you planning on turning in your packet?

i know the deadline isn't until sept 1,2011 but i am excited to get that acceptance letter :yeah:and i also just want the application off of my hands lol

if you pass the teas then they will take whichever was higher. they only take whole scores. you really have no choice as to whether you want to retake it as 26 points is not a guaranteed spot. you never know what the cutoff is so you should try to retake and get as high a score as you can so that you can ensure you get a seat.

im wondering why you are so convinced you are going to fail it if you retake it?

if you don't mind...what was your exact score on the science portion last time?

you really just need to study hard and retake it before its too late! you don't want to have to wait another semester to get in.

that means they'll choose the 80 percent instead of the 78 percent.... i only got 66 percent!!!!!

yes they would take the highest test score of your passing teas tests. if you fail a section then they will take your old score. i emphasize studying with the study guide seriously take the practice tests and study the material better than before. your goal is to get at least 2 if not 3 points for that so you can guarantee your spot!

One thing that greatly helped me with the TEAS test was not only the study guide and practice tests but I got a notebook and practiced those math problems over and over getting really good at doing the problems without a calculator. Adding might seem easy but when they give you long word problems with 6 numbers to add up you need to not only do it accurately but fast. Also there were a lot of fraction problems on my test. Even if you're good at math you need to be able to calculate quickly with nothing but pencil and paper.

You folks may want to start holding onto your packets until July. They'll start taking them in July. The day remains unknown. I'll try to hand my packet in the 1st week and see what happens. It's ready to go.

31, provided I turn in this packet that sits patiently on my desk. Never have I had a paper sit on my desk for so long. I'm still waiting on the call, since I was an alternate. But my hopes have run dry for the fall 2011 semester.

How many points will you have?

i only have 26pts..... just risk it... i am on the alternate too but i dont think we still have a chance..idontknow

staying on the path: where did you hear that there was a specific date that we are supposed to wait til to turn in our apps?

i didn't see anything about that on the website. i didn't hear that from the advisor either.

Unfortunately, they didn't give me a specific date - just definitely not in June, but July. I spoke with an advisor standing by the limited entry office when I went to hand in my packet last week. The office was closed that day. I'm terrible with names. I'll try July 1st, if they can't take it on that day, they should have a much more concrete day.

Definitely try to hand it in before September 1st. That's the deadline....I think.

ugh! am i the only person who thinks its totally absurd to have a date that you're supposed to wait for to turn in your packets but not tell anyone!?

i already put in my application...the sign said slide your application under the door. it said nothing about waiting until july! i just called the lady's office and she went on vacation or something from the 10th til the 22nd....fml

i just don't understand why that is not posted somewhere? is it just supposed to be common knowledge that you have to wait til two months before the deadline to turn them in?

ps im sorry for the rant but i really hate when miscommunication occurs because someone couldn't just simply state the dates between which they will accept applications!

now i have to wait until the 23rd just to find out if i have to resubmit my application! plus im gonna need my work experience form redone...ugh
