im pretty sure you are supposed to give them your entire packet together...i may be wrong but i think everything must be submitted together in a packet then they evaluate it. it should be rather quick bc its only nsc

Incorrect. The evaluation of transferred credit from NSC needs to happen before submitting the packet, otherwise the DARS will be incomplete and the credits won't count toward the prerequisites/points.

oh...okay well i hadn't looked into it since i am a proud coyote already :)

i really hope your credits get counted on time!

Hello everyone! I'm applying for the Spring 2012 Nursing program and I have a couple of questions that maybe someone can help me with. I'm getting my application ready and I tried to print out my DARS on MyCSN but it's for Nevada State College??? I'm confused :uhoh3: Also, I have 30 points but I might have 31. I'm licensed as a CNA but I never worked and my license is going to expire on my birthday - 8/21. Will it still count as a point? I just took the TEAS on Saturday and passed...thank God! I think that was the hardest test I've taken. I took a 6 week Bio189 as NSC and I think it would have benefited me more to have taken the normal length course. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm taking the TEAS again Saturday to try to pick up an extra point, but I'm planning to turn mine in after the application workshop this Tuesday the 16th. I just want to make sure I don't leave anything out. My luck it would get rejected over something simple that I overlook. Good Luck to everyone!

lol so i actually just went through the website to triple check that i hadn't forgotten anything! only two more months til we find out if we were accepted!!!!! im really getting crazy waiting over here! any idea when the orientation will be or when they start calling? i know its in like october soo...

Last year they started calling on the 27th of October, I put it in my calendar :-)

I started the program last spring, and the first semester was awesome!

Melement is right about having to wait until the end of October last year. It felt like forever. Don't expect to know anything in "4-6 weeks"! I turned in my application in a large manila envelope, btw.

Also, I have to say that if the TEAS was hard for you, you need to have really good study habits in order to pass these classes. Study is essential for everyone, but if test-taking is difficult for you, you really have to be on top of your game. Anything below a 75% is failing, and it is all test-based grading. About half of the class didn't pass the first semester - this program is as intense as everyone says it is! Don't get discouraged, just know that it is going to take a lot of effort. Also, a solid foundation from BIOL 189 is really important. If you felt like you didn't get that from your class, you should take some time to review your notes and read the text where you feel unsure about things.

Good luck everyone! The program is tough, but rewarding. Pay attention in orientation :)

Well I took the TEAS again and my score was better, but not enough to get that other point I was hoping for. So frustrating!!! I have 29 points, but I'm applying for the PT program. I'm hoping I'll get in there for the Spring, but now I feel like my chances are only so-so.

I've got all my fingers and toes crossed, but I'm taking the CNA cert this fall just in case...

Hi everyone! I turned in my app for the spring full time track, 28 pts., fingers are crossed!! The woman in the office was really helpful and looked through my packet to make sure I had everything.

Anyone know the average points for part-time because I am applying with 29 pts?

I asked when I turned in my packet, and she said that the cut off for part-time last semester was 28 points. I also have 29 points, so hopefully we'll get in there. Good luck!
