hello all!
i was just wondering, for those of you that are applying to csn's spring 2012 full time or part time rn program, when are you planning on turning in your packet?
i know the deadline isn't until sept 1,2011 but i am excited to get that acceptance letter :yeah:and i also just want the application off of my hands lol
thanks for any feedback happy nursing to all!
ohmy am syil lost..i hear the sounds but then i likely more get excited? and then hearing the sound like i forgot when it stops n suddenly u hear similar sound..lol...practice n practice i guess.... really comfused bot a first sound and the second sound is loude...what is the louder sound, is that my first heartbeat or i swould go fot=r the frst sound as my systolis.argh!
try listening to the bowel sounds a little after you eat as well as other sounds that are quite normal
or
try listening to those websites, like youtube, and compare what you get with your stethescope.
I think I'll buy a new stethescope and shoes once the true clinicals begin in Feb. As for now, I'll use my hand-me-downs!
As for heartbeats ,lub-dub is what you should get. The lub (lighter sound) signifies your systole while the dub (bump, heavier sound) signifies the diastole. There should normally be a pause in between heartbeats. Abnormal ones are possible too.
NURS 285 is starting tomorrow. Hopefully this is no surprise to anyone.

Make sure you have it in right and that the diaphragm is turned on. The ear pieces should be pointing more forward. When it is in your ears tap the bigger part and see if you hear it. If not then hold the tuning and turn the head and try again.
