CSN RN Spr 2012 applicants When Are You Turning In Your Packets?

hello all!

i was just wondering, for those of you that are applying to csn's spring 2012 full time or part time rn program, when are you planning on turning in your packet?

i know the deadline isn't until sept 1,2011 but i am excited to get that acceptance letter :yeah:and i also just want the application off of my hands lol

They are similar to the ones on the syllabus. Just go slow and read. it's just 101 math, no IV, no peds stuff. And memorize the conversion chart that is on the syllabus. That will get you too! As far as BPs and stuff you can go to open lab to practice. also practice on your friends and family. After you know what you are listening for you will do fine! Oh, and with the 2nd math test they just told me how many I missed. I guess I could have asked which ones, but I was too upset to think about it!

Ok, here's a list of what we needed/what I found helpful

steth (need) *I have a Littman Classic II

BP cuff (need) *can get them anywhere (La Isla, Scrubtastic)

Pen light (need) *Can get anywhere

Pocket organizer (Has scissors, pentlight and multi colored pen, comes in handy!) Prestige Medical Color Organizer Set | allheart.com

Index cards and holder (for med cards) Office Depot Brand Poly Index Box With Cards Assorted Colors No Color Choice by Office Depot

Colored pens (I bought a pack of 12, nice for the med cards)

Those pocket sized spiral notebooks to stick in your scrub pockets at clinicals for quick notes

Rolling back pack. Yes, you may feel like a geek, but they come in handy! This is what I have JanSport Driver 8 Wheeled Laptop Backpack - eBags.com

I would invest in a lazer printer, if you can. You will be printing A TON of stuff and it's not always easy to get to the computer labs. I got one at Best Buy for $120. You can print about 2000 pages.

are u on your second sem sunshine daisy/ what are the classes...from there u need to pass some math calculation again huh?. do u have any chance some of the practice calculation? cant wait for thirteen..i need to practice now...lol

Yeah, we have a 101 test the first day of clinicals, eek! Then I think week 2 or 3 is the 115 test. And yes, 2nd semester, I am in 115 (med-surg) and 243 (mental health). From what I understand we now have 20 questions and can only miss 1:uhoh21: I am nervous! If you google dosage calculation questions there's a ton. I did that for the IV ones so I could start practicing!
