CSN Fall 2015 - Discussion area for our cohort Welcome!!
Hello everyone, I started this early because if you are like me, you will begin your paperwork over the winter so I figured why not get a good chat page going. It does feel a bit strange to have the "lull" so spaced out til we apply in the springtime, but we have plenty to keep us busy and we will be in classes before we know it! Anyone know of some potential scholarships to apply for in the meantime?

I think you can take it as many
Times as you want. But like you said- 90 days apart.
did anyone submit their app yet?

I didn't make it into Spring 2015, but I'll be submitting my packet in for this Fall with 38 points.
I was an alternate, with 23 total points. I knew my chances were very slim, but it was worth it going through all the meetings to see what that was going to be like.
One quick tip: Take the Toolbox 285 class this summer if you haven't already taken it. I'm very good with general math, but the "wording" used for dosage calculation problems can throw you off. In other words, there can be lots of "fluff" in the problems. Failing a math quiz is the fastest way to get thrown out of the program, according to many students and instructors. So definitely schedule the toolbox class in for this summer. (It's cheap, about $135 plus $10 for books. And bring a basic calculator)
Good luck to everyone.

Hello,
I applied to the CSN fall 2015 full time program with 37 points. The toolbox class 285 sounds like a great idea, I was hoping they would have it in the spring but I had no luck finding any classes so I guess summer it is.
Good luck to everyone applying.

Toolbox is only held in the summer and winter. Sometimes it's listed under spring or fall but it's actually held either in mid December or early-mid January.

Hi! Quick question.. Is the toolbox class online? Is it at csn?
No, it's only available in person. Go and absorb all of the super important material! It's the best $90 I ever spent in nursing school.
I definitely will :)
Good luck to everyone applying! I will be turning in my packet today with 37 points.. I hope that's enough í ½í¸í ½í¸í ½í¸
