It has been February, June and October for a great many years, and it is written on the same day in every city in the country where it's offered. Application deadlines are usually approximately three months before the scheduled exam date.

If you are sitting the CRNE then I would recheck the date as the exam is held in October not September

hey manchesternurse!
i suggest that you check out the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) website about the CRNE as they own and created the CRNE. The website outlines the length and format of the exam as well as what is tested with the CRNE.
CNA CRNE Link: http://www.cna-nurses.ca/CNA/nursing/rnexam/default_e.aspx
i also suggest that you take the CNA LeaRN CRNE readiness test as it help assess your readiness to take the CRNE. The test costs about $40 CAD.

i can't specifically tell you the contents of the exam as we have signed a confidentiality agreement when we wrote our exams.
hope this helps and all the best to you!

How is October CRNE?
There are only 5 exam sites. Is this mean it will be harder to pass (less people writing the exam compare to June) or more chances to pass?
It seems like people outside of Canada (ie, Philipine) are writing in October as well...or is it really September (Maybe international nurses have seperate exam date?) I have to write October exam again because I failed the June one.... I don't know what to expect anymore.

The CRNE is only held 3 times a year and no different dates for International nurses. Everyone sits it the same date

Hi borik1234, when I submitted the requirements for assessment, the CNO mailed me a question and answer form which is for the equivalency program. Why not try applying? you may be as lucky as I am.
hi azrael.. im also from philippines.. you're so lucky coz u were not told to do bridging courses. i hope im also lucky like you.. my credentials are still on process. dont know yet if i can already sit the exam(of course after im done with ielts) or if i have to take additional course. can you please send me a message,,, i dont know where or to whom i can ask about my situation.thanks..
give it another shot and try again. failure doesn't mean that your a failure.. it just means that you haven't succeeded yet.
you could also try enrolling yourself in one of those CRNE prep classes. that might be of help. all the best and good luck to you!

I think there are very few of us here in the Philippines that is applying in CANADA. And have not seen any available resources as of now. My aunt from CAnada will try to ship some reviewers for me. Maybe we can share all of our resources as well. May I know when and where will you take the exam? Hope we can help each other. Thanks.

I have been sharing my audio reviewer since I am done with it..maybe this can help you. If you live here in Edmonton I can share it with you. I am taking this October too and all the feedback I am reading is really stressing me out. I would advice that you try to find a study buddy that you can share and exchange ideas...I had one and she pass while I did not make it. So I am looking for a study partner or a group of Nurses who are taking their exam too.
guys, hve a question to ask. how many days/hours is the CRNE?
