CRNE format for next year exam 2008

Hi guys,

Does anyone know the format of the CRNE next year. I would like to know if the exam will only be multiple choice or are they going to include again the short answer questions?

I am planning to take the exam next June.

I would like also to buy used Mosby's book (2nd edition) or any Prep guide book. Where can i buy those books? Anyone selling?

Important New Information

Please note the LeaRN CRNE Readiness Test currently contains 85 multiple-choice and 15 short-answer questions. Your results on the multiple-choice questions and short-answer questions will be displayed separately and combined for your overall score.

From February 2008 to February 2010 the CRNE will contain only multiple-choice

questions and will not include short-answer questions. Therefore, during this time 15% of the current Readiness Test will use a format that is not used on the CRNE. The

competencies tested using the short-answer format in the Readiness Test will be tested on the CRNE, but the test will be presented in a multiple-choice format only and will not

include questions in a short-answer format.

hahaha! I heard that too but it sounded to go to be true so I didn't want to get everyone's hopes up until I saw something official

As of February 2008 and until February 2010, the Canadian Registered Nurse Exam (CRNE) will consist solely of multiple-choice questions.

CRNE website announced thae the type of exam this Feb 2008 to 2010 will be purely multiple choice due to some issues there were leakages of exams in previous testing dates.:yeah:

This is a very old thread. The fact that the CRNE will be multiple-choice only until 2010 has been discussed both on this thread and at least two others. Now that the final exam of 2008 has been written, this thread will be closed.
