Chona13,

I am so sorry but keep you chin up! Like you I failed twice but passed my last attempt. It is very hard to get through emotionally but you have tons of people here to support you :) I soul recommend you attend some courses. I live in Alberta and took the crne prep course at grant macewan which was amazing! It really helped me to change my strategies on approaching the questions. Plus it boosted my confidence! I also took the primed course in Calgary but they have courses in van, edm, and Toronto as well. Thetwo courses really helped me prepare for this third attempt. Best of luck and hope u feel better soon! You can do it!

Oh Thank you olive44. l will most certainly look into that and take a prep course. You and all the other encouragements are helping to make me feel better. And congratulations on your pass, wishing you all the best in your career!!:nurse:

Hi Chona13,

I have been thinking of how to help you. First, please take heart. You are justified in your grieving; only do not allow it to be dysfunctional. The first step in moving forward is to overcome the grieving and sorrowing part. I will let you know how I can be of help to you. I was there a shortwhile ago and I totally understand the bitter and crushing feeling one gets from failing the CRNE twice and is left with one chance. But as long as one still have another chance, it can never be said to be over until it is over. I will suggest you look back at your two previous attempts and identify where things went wrong. I do not believe that you do not have knowledge of nursing. You do. You have to look into your exam-taking (or multiple-questions taking) skills; look at your time management during the exam; look at your preparations; but above all, you have to believe that you can make it. The CRNE is passable, and you can do it!

The Bisp. Thank you for taking your time to help others like me. Indeed l was mortified with grief and l saw the exam as an insurmountable task. Your encouragement is helping me to get out of this and look ahead. You have made some very important suggestions there that l am going to look into and work on. To all those who are writing again, yes we can pass the CRNE, and its not over until its over! Thank you Bisp, you have boosted my moral. God bless you.:)

I don't live in Toronto and I'm in BC but will be more than happy if I can be any help.

When I was preparing for the exam, however, I came across preparation course in Toronto School of Health. I personally didn't take any course but I would have if it was offered where I live.

I try to private message you as I noticed you are new to the site.

Cheers

In order to use the PM feature on our site you must first have 15 legitimate and contributory posts. (Be aware that attempts to "boost your post count" are noticed and corrected.) However, it is possible to sent emails to members who have indicated in their profiles that they're willing to accept emails from other members. Watermelon RN has done this. To send an email, go to the last post from Watermelon RN above yours and see if there's a set of icons just under Watermelon's user name and to the right of "registered User". They would include a blue cirle with an "i" in it, a pencil, an envelope, a green circle with a "+" in it and a magnifying glass. If you don't see these icons, click on Watermelon RN's user name and they will appear. Now click on the envelope. This will open a screen that will allow you to compose a personal email without revealing Watermelon's personal email address to anyone. Yours will, of course, become available to Watermelon and only Watermelon. Once you've sent your email, the two of you may continue to email each other in private if you so choose.

For people who need CRNE prep materials:

Please email me your address by clicking the email icon as well Thanks!!

Let's work this through together!

I'm glad to help anyone to pass the CRNE exam

PS: I found the CNA prep guide and Mosby comprehensive review were useful for me. CNA prep guide gave me an idea what the exam questions would be. And Mosby review has a detailed review and some questions for each chapter. I think the key to success is to do as many practice questions as you can !

Good Luck to all for the next exam!!:heartbeat
