We ask that all posts made here use English only, there seems to be a rash of postings being made in Tagalog and they are not going to be approved to be seen on the forums as per the Terms of Service of this site.
We ask that you make it easier on everyone involved to just use English as required by this site.
Thanks in advance.

Did anybody who lives in Alberta receive an email message from CRNE exam cordinator regarding Feb Crne exam application? I got it and wonder if that means failure in October exam. The message is titled as "FW: Additional information required for CRNE."Thx.
That is strange.
Regardless of the province, I have never heard that they sent out the exam application form by e-mail to people who failed. They include the exam application form with the result if the result is fail.
I would like to remind you that this thread is for IENs to express themselves on this subject. We are sharing how much we are affected by this experience. I wonder if anyone who is not in the same situation can understand how much hangs in the balance. Please, nurses, feel free to express yourselves!
I think you would be surprised at how many people who posted to this thread (and who wrote the very same exam) are NOT IENs. To suggest that Canadian-born or naturalized candidates have a smaller and less-important stake in the results is rather self-absorbed. In my nursing school class there were a number of single mothers who were counting on a nursing career to help them provide better lives for their kids and an out from their mounting debt load, women just like me. There were also LPNs who had been laid off when the province purged them from the system who were desperate to have an income after having to put their careers and lives on hold. There were also young women from isolated rural communities who had no career opportunities in their hometowns who had moved to the city to go to school. I guarantee that the cross-section of candidates who wrote on October 8 will be virtually identical to that except for the small percentage of candidates who are IENs. Do you really think the results matter less to them than they do to you? And do you really think that posting on this thread every day that you have to wait makes it easier for you to wait? I think not.

Whoa! I'm sorry that you interpret my comment in this way. I did not say or mean to suggest that the results are not of extreme importance to each exam-writer whatever the details of their situation. I don't think it's a contest. I wrote specifically because I didn't want IENs to feel belittled because of their concerns that have the additional complications of meeting visa, permit, and immigration requirements.
I think the stress has resulted in my being more self-absorbed than usual and obviously less eloquent than necessary. I apologize to anyone I offended by my comment.
And yes, reaching out to other nurses by posting (occasionally) on this thread has made it somewhat easier for me to wait.
