I have been looking into becoming a CRNA but not being paid for three years during school has me obviously hesitant... I was wondering if anyone on here has joined the military to assist in previous school loans and pay for CRNA school when signing up for service? I also have my family to consider as well.
Thank you! :)

Check out the USAGPAN program: USAGPAN application requirements | Anesthesia Nursing DNP Program | Baylor University
Officers do not enlist in the military, we commission. I have deployed with and have worked with many excellent CRNAs from this program.
I will move this thread to the Government/Military forum to ensure maximum responses. There are several threads there about the USAGPAN program too.

Pixie. RN is right Melanie..are you in Houston? (I see the 281). The USAGPAN is part in San Antonio, TX and phase II you go somewhere else. I have priced school from Los Angeles to the East coast and IMO this is the best bet. Great education, little to no financial stress, free school, Military experience, a chance to serve our military and families, and training that can not be replicated.
I'm already working with a recruiter for the next admission cycle (FY 2020 start). Good luck!!

The military CRNA program is a good deal but just make sure your family is ready for the long hours you will have to put in during phase II; 16-18 hour days is the normal.
