CRNA application for Barry University May 2020

Applying to Barry University Nurse Anesthesia Program for May 2020 cohort!! My GPA 3.89, ACLS/BLS/CCRN certified, 4 years of medical ICU experience.

Studying to take the GRE in May!

I am so nervous to apply. I am not good at standardized test.

What are other ppl stats? Do you think I'll get an interview.

I just submitted my app to Barry U last Sunday, so its been about a week and a half so far. However, I just emailed the Admissions committee yesterday and they informed me that they will be reviewing applications in the next few days. So we could possibly be hearing something back shortly!

I submitted maybe a month ago for Hollywood. After like three weeks I got a rejection email ),: I am trying to get in touch to ask what is was about my app that was least competitive. Moving forward, if anyone has any questions about my application process I’ll keep up with this thread and answer!

I’m so sorry to hear this. I am terrified of receiving a rejection email. I hope you still continue your pursuit in becoming a CRNA. The applicants are simply becoming more competitive now with the DNP programs. Please keep us all updated on the feedback you receive. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors!

@displayname I’m so sorry! I know seriously how it feels! don’t give up!! I was rejected by 4 schools and one the waitlist at one and finally got into this one! If you passionately pursue it, you will get it! It’s so so competitive, and this year every school i interviewed at told me that it’s the most applications they have ever gotten! Keep your head up! I know you will get into one!

Thank you so much for the update! I submitted on Thursday so it’ll be a week for me tomorrow. Just nervous, and wondering what’s to be expected. Good luck! I’ll let you know if I hear anything.

I’m so so sorry! I hope that you continue to apply to other schools! It’s so hard but just have to keep on trying ?? Thank you for updates and i wish you the absolute best of luck!!

What! Do you have any idea of what it might have been? I feel like it’s too soon for rejections.

Hmm I don’t know. I have their one year minimum of experience. I am working on getting my CCRN but I have heard of people being admitted without it as long as they have it before the start date. I don’t know what else. My GPA is around 3.8 and my gre was pretty strong as well. My ICU is level 1 and probably the best if not second best in our area. I really don’t know /:

There were interviews this past Friday? When did you receive notification for an interview? And which campus did you interview for?

I got my letter today! I'm in!!!! I'll be at the Orlando campus!

Got my interview call the end of July for Aug 16 interview.

I got an email on Monday saying that they were reviewing apps this week so I am praying that I get an interview. Thats such exciting news! Good for you! I also applied to the Orlando campus but really would be okay with any of the locations.
