Nursing Students SRNA

Updated:   Published

Applying to Barry University Nurse Anesthesia Program for May 2020 cohort!! My GPA 3.89, ACLS/BLS/CCRN certified, 4 years of medical ICU experience.

Studying to take the GRE in May!

I am so nervous to apply. I am not good at standardized test.

What are other ppl stats? Do you think I'll get an interview.

I applied to Hollywood. I was thinking because I didn’t hear back that maybe they were only interviewing WPB since both of the people that heard back at all in this thread applied to WPB. It’s been a couple weeks since I applied. Still have my fingers crossed though ?

We will see! I still have to complete my GRE, CCRN, and Recommendations. I got nervous by waiting too long until it was all completed. Especially after receiving an email to submit as soon as possible. I looked at Barry's stats for the previous years....looks like around 60 people are accepted annually. That's pretty good for a CRNA program. Definitely puts us at an advantage, especially submitting early before the deadline. Fingers crossed, for sure.

How many years of experience do you have? That is a lot left undone but Barry will know you’re working on it at least. This year I believe they’re taking 80? Yeah I hope so (-: Waiting on that call.

Hey guys,

New to the thread here but I just applied to Barry's Program also. I applied to the Orlando location but honestly wouldn't mind any of the others. Just curious how you found out they were accepting 80 this year? Did you call them? Looking forward to keep in contact through here and support one another!

Hey ? When did you apply? Yes I emailed them. Someone named Denise Deen emailed back and told me they’re taking approximately 80 this year.

I just applied yesterday!
I'm so nervous about this whole application process. But I have a close friend who is a CRNA and he works with Barry students and has nothing but good things to say about Barry trained CRNAs.

80 sounds great! Considering there are 5 campuses thats 16 students per cohort.

Hey @displayname

I applied to orlando. I wish you best of luck. Fingers crossed. I would call the office tho and find out whats going on with the application.

Hey C.Parrish,

Good Luck. I wish you the best !!!!!

Thanks so much, you too!

Is everyone on here located in FL right now?

@C.Parrish CCRN I just moved to FL couples months ago.

Specializes in PICU and PACU.

No! I live in Georgia right now!!

Oh, I forgot to ask,

Did everyone just submit their application using NursingCAS or did you also submit the application to the graduate admissions as well? I wasn't sure if I should wait to apply considering I don't know if I got in yet.

Congrats again to everyone! I am so excited for everyone applying and those who got accepted!

I recently applied (FINALLY), and I was wondering - How long did it take to hear back for an interview? I applied to Hollywood campus, not quite sure if that makes a difference or not.

Thanks for all the news and info! ?
