Hey there, I posted this under graduate nurses but maybe I'll have more luck here!

I'm just wondering if anyone has interviewed for this program and is awaiting the phone call or email from them with the results this week?? I'm going out of my mind staring at my phone waiting for a call.... I kind of want to call them Friday if they haven't called by then (wish I could do it today!!) Let me know if anyone else is in the same boat or have already heard from them

i heard different things from different people. Ms. Luecke said they're picking 16-18 final candidates. The 2010 intern, who gave me the tour that day, said there were 22 in her class. Last year the recruiters met a lot of candidates they liked and accepted more people than they had originally planned, which tells me the number is not fixed.

For this year, 2011, There were 300 applicants, they highest number ever received. Out of those 300 only 120 met the requirements and 90 were interviewed instead of the original 60. Talk about fierce competition. But if you think about 16-18 out of 90 is still not a bad probability. That's roughly 1 out 5 or 20% chance being selected. Good luck guys!

They told me they would have to take less people this year than they did last year due to the fact that it's becoming really difficult to get patients and stuff like that. The number that they gave me was 16 but someone else had said 20 after our interview so you may be right about it not being a fixed number. Where did you get the number of people interviewed? I had no idea it would be 90... getting increasingly freaked out now. Oh well! Guess we'll just have to wait and see but I'm telling you the wait is getting harder and harder with each day that goes by without a call from anyone else- or the ER residencies at Parkland either.

the 90 came directly from Barbara Mims. Don't freak out. I think we have a good chance, despite having a lot of qualified candidates this year. As mentioned in other threads, many internships and residencies interviewed just as many candidates for fewer positions. Our odds are good compared to others. Be happy that you put your eggs in the right basket :).

Barbara told me 90 when we scheduled my interview and then when I was waiting in one of the offices for my interview with Barbara and Laura one of the ladies who worked there told me they were doing over 100.

I completely agree with Wayneb - our chances are good!! Think about how many people didn't make it to the interview process! The other interviews I've gone on only have 1 or 2 openings and they were still doing 2 weeks worth of interviews!

Barbara and Laura told me they give a list of names to an HR person to call everyone who interviewed wether you were excepted or denied and that you have 3 days to decide if you want it or not. I wonder what they tell the people who are on the reserve list.

I guess that's true I think the reason I'm so worried about it is because I've gotten no other calls or interviews. Plus I want it so bad. The waiting is just making it worse.

Ok I got antsy and called Parkland to check my status for the internship and the recruiter said she received a list of people who were selected and not selected today. It contained only 5 people who were chosen and I don't know how many that weren't. She called everyone from that list already. She will be getting another list tomorrow. Lets take comfort in the fact that we weren't on the first list of people who weren't excepted

I got an email from Capria today that said to call her regarding the status of my interivew for the program. I just got it because I was at the prison all day without my phone.

I called Capria, folks. Only 20 people have been rejected, 5 accepted. 65 will be called, for 11 positions and 5 alternates. This is driving me crazy! Now i'm wondering how she will make all 65 calls tomorrow, and i pray i don't have to wait another day.

Hi everyone! I just found this thread...I am also waiting to hear back from Parkland about the critical care and trauma nurse internship, has anyone heard anything since Thursday?
