Hello allnurses,
I will graduate with an ASN in May 2016, so this is my last semester in school before being eligible to take the NCLEX. Due to a miscommunication between the faculty and myself, I have to take 21 credit hours this semester in order to graduate on time. 9 of theses credit hours are my nursing classes, and the other 12 are Gen. Eds.
Do you guys have any tips on staying organized and managing my time?
Any feedback is appreciated! Thank you!

When I've had heavy course loads (not yet in nursing school, but in my prior degree) I found using a planner to keep straight classes, work, volunteer commitments, and major assignments/exams useful. I had another calendar on my desk for detailed assignment deadlines and outline of study schedual for exams and what not. I'm a very visual person so this worked well for me.
I made a point of scheduling free time/time with friends (usually half-day on the weekend - we'd go to the gym then have brunch/vent session) beneficial to keeping me focused on working during the week.

Wow.. That is a heavy load. Hopefully some of the Gen Ed classes are "easier". I agree using some sort of a planner/calender. I use both my iphone calender as well as a paper calender to keep myself organized. Good luck!
