you're welcome! if you havent found it already, here it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mnemonics_for_the_cranial_nerves
Hey! I was trying to find the acronym that I used, but it was last fall semester and I guess I don't have it anymore. Anyway, I remember that it was really dirty-something to do with old men, viagra, and lady partss...my A&P teacher gave it to the whole class and said that the dirtier the acronym, the better you could remember it. Maybe that will help when you're looking for your acronym...
He also showed me that if you start on the anterior part of the skull, from a transverse point of view, the cranial nerves basically start at the forehead and work their to the back of the head, almost in perfect order (I-XII). I don't know if that's what you need, but that really helped me.
Good luck!! :nuke:
I just realized that I still remember their functions:(again, another fabulous acronym from my A&P teacher)
Some Say Marry Money But My Brother Says Big Boobs Matter Most
S: Sensory
M: Motor
B: Both
(Cranial nerves I and II=Sensory, III and IV=Motor, V=Both... you get it) :wink2:
Yup..I remembered that one also. Of course, the guys in the class LOVED that one and memorized it instantly!
Oh Oh Oh To Touch And Feel A Girl's lady parts...Ah Heaven - I can never forget this one...lol.
And for some of their functions...I heard this awhile back...
You have One nose (olfactory), Two eyes (optic), 3, 4, 6 makes your eyes do tricks (oculomotor, trochlear, & abducens - eye movement), 5 rhymes with tri (trigeminal), 7 on your face (facial), 8 in your ears (auditory), 9, 10 under your chin (glossopharyngeal & vagus - gag reflex), 11 on your shoulders (accessory - shoulder shrug), 12 stick out your tongue (hypoglossal - tongue movement).
