thank you for the tips traci. i am feeling less and less anxious the closer i get to my test date. weird i guess lol, but i'm studying like crazy and i think the more confident i get, the better i feel (just like you said:)
:barf01::barf01:seriously, i feel on the verge of barfing every moment of everyday from my nerves! i have 13 days to go. i have all of my critical elements down. areas of care and charting no problem. care plans however are a problem. i was okay until i found out that i am in the new edition 18th testing window and cannot use risk for diagnosis nor any assess/monitor interventionsi don't even know where to start to practice them. any advice would be awesome. i have been on ec discussion boards and they are helping immensely with little tidbits of info here and there :) i need to get in the zone and shut down life for the next two weeks and study all day everyday so i can be ready. i just can't wait for this to be over..sorry if i am rambling..my brain is fried

jocelyn, i hope you checked out those sites, there was a person that tested in mansfield and passed last weekend under the 18th edition, and i tested and passed last w/e in madison last weekend on the 18th it can be done! i have been extremely focused on this exam for 4 months, so i was ready. the 18th edition isn't that hard to incorporate as long as you remember what you can and can not use. i never used any @ risk diagnosis in my initial preparing, but started to practice using the @ risk in implementation care plan revision, and i did need to revise a care plan during my cpne. look carefully at what your aoc are, and what you will be doing to move that person toward your goals, remembering not to use any monitor, assess, evaluate, examine in your interventions. also, make sure that your goals and interventions are not too closely related! i heard of a couple of students that got dinged for this. good luck on your test!
