  1. thanks traci,...but not quite what i was expecting...i wanted opinions from students who have or currently using the materials sold...i'm pretty sure each and every one of the workshop owners will definitely attest their material is the best...but then again, it is different when you get independent reviews, rather than hearing "straight from the horses mouth."
  2. Just want to say, you can do this! Good luck!! :)
  3. Thanks for sharing k9kabs! Really can't afford travel cost x 2 for the CPNE! Do you know if Tina from PA has video's, haven't heard much about her workshop. Initially, my goal was to go to the Tina from West-Coast. Seems like she's closed the workshop. Have read lots of positive reviews about her workshop. Anyhow, money is tight, just have to keep this low-key, while I focus my study on the study guide, & practice, practice, practice. Did you do any of the EC conferences? I'm thinking of including Beginning CPNE Preparation, Nursing Care Planning & Documentation, conferences. Just received my EC flashcards, CPNE preparation dvd & workbook. I also plan on adding Lynn's combo video. Hopefully, these will get me through.
  4. stacey, i would consider taking abnormal psych, since that is a more common requirement in many/most nursing programs. keep in mind that if you should decide to pursue a bsn degree in the long run, that abnormal psych will surely come handy. some programs are also requiring human growth & devel., which is another course in psych... can't beat those psych requirements in nursing programs. i'm sure you will select the one that works best for ya! good luck with your decision. you'll do great!:)
  5. Thanks LunahRN, so nice to hear from a veteran! :)
  6. Sorry about your last CPNE experience. It's wonderful you know what to improve on, which I'm sure you will get next time. I have to say, I like your positive attitude "I can't fail again." WTG:up: You will surely pass on your next round! Best wishes:up:
  7. That seems like an awful lot! I wanted to attend one myself, but was turned off when I read EC workshops are "not" teaching workshops...anyhow, good luck with everything:up: I'm sure you'll do great!!
  8. Need suggestions please from past & current EC students. I ordered Rob's video's, so far, I'm not impress by the presentation...not bashing, just that I feel like there should be more. However, I have heard of Lynn, a former EC student from my study group, but need advice from allnurses. Lynn offers 3 learning videos that covers the Lab skills, PCS teaching, & Critical elements for $99 on her website, and wondered if anyone would recommend the videos. I've done a search on Lynn here on allnurses, and can't seem to find a thread that relates to my inquiry:confused: Thanks in advance for your input!
  9. I used my home printer to print of my guide--still wasn't cheaper. I paid $52 for my black & color ink cart--minus paper...so, I think you had a good deal!
