I just recently got my certification for my cna. But I took my class about 4 or 5 years ago. I've been working as pca for the past 3 years. The settings are completely different from a clients home to a hospital. But my question is if my cover letter is good enough for a float position? Please help. At this point I'm just stuck trying to gather all my skills up that can help me qualify.
Here's a copy of my cover letter, please help

Lacking a resume to gleamed data off from, the cover letter suggestion is somewhat generic. But it should give you some food for thought:

Dear Human Resources Professional,
Please consider me a strong candidate for the Certified Nursing Assistant position as a Float advertised in the XX website. Upon reading this announcement, I wanted to provide you the enclosed resume and recommendations. As you will note from my resume, I hold a CNA certification. Described on each of the supporting documents, I have gained the essential skills from practical experience working as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) providing quality patient care three years before my certification. Thus it is with a comprehensive foundation knowledge and practical experience that I now seek to interview for and, I hope, serve within the capacities of the Certified Nursing Assistant.
My qualifications include, but not limited to, the following:
. . . * A wide variety of working in different settings such as .

During my three years as a PCA I performed additional CNA-type duties, such as dealing with bodily incontinence, filling out documentation, osteogenesis imperfecta, glaucoma, communicating with doctors, nurses, specialists and other staff members, and prepared medications. My team player as well as time management skills enabled me to be a hard working and dependable individual with a variety of skills and common sense beyond that of a clinical setting.
Though my resume is detailed and comprehensive, it cannot fully demonstrate the manner in which I have achieved success. Character, personality, and the ability to work in a team environment can be demonstrated in a personal meeting. I would welcome an interview at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your time and consideration. I am certain that I would become a valuable addition to your staff.
Respectfully yours,
