Hi all,
I'm currently at MDC (Miami Dade College) doing my prereqs there.
4 Years ago I enrolled for AP and Chem and ended up withdrawing from those classes 2 x (not failing them). As per our course policy now, if you have more than 3 dropped or F's classes, you can't apply for the nursing program.
My advisor said as long as I retake the classes and I do well then I have an opportunity to appeal them infront of a committe.
So my question is?
Any pre nursing student here with any number of W's or F's in 2 or more science classes , that they appealed and ended up makingi t to the RN program?
If so, welcome to the club :)

I had to take Algebra 2x. I got a D the first time and happily took a C the 2nd time. I would like to take it again, but I'm too close to applying for my program.

Before when taking my pre-reqs work took the front burning leaving school to take the back burned. I retook chemistry, and I need to retake biology...I also took a math class that was too hard for me...SO I'm working my way up again...EEKK! The program I'm going into you have to get a C or better...Both sciences I got a D+ the first time...I'm going in with a new attitude...School first...I can always work weekends if my grades are suffering...I feel so stupid! And I really HOPE this doesn't affect my chances...though I don't think it will!
