Health care advances in Cuba

According to the Associated Press as cited in the Post article, "Cuba has made recent advancements in biotechnology and exports its treatments to 40 countries around the world, raking in an estimated $100 million a year. ... In 2004, the U.S. government granted an exception to its economic embargo against Cuba and allowed a California drug company to test three cancer vaccines developed in Havana."

We all have an opinion on this subject, as do I, but please, can we debate the subject instead of attacking each other? I know it is tempting but please....

....I'm almost out of proton pump inhibitors and H2 blockers. And I'm already on an SSRI. :)

Thanks.

Me, too! (on the same meds)

It galls me to see posts that so clearly represent (hopefully) a minority of nurses' opinions, and I'll call off my diatribes about it.

It did produce a wealth of information, and for that I am grateful. Thanks for your response and excellent monitoring of this thread! :yeah:

Anyone living in Detroit has a lower life expectancy rate. As well as New Orleans, D.C., Chicago, L.A. or anyone of several other crime ridden cities run by Liberals. Anyone who has to use U.N. statistics might as well just make them up themslves. Half the U.N. is run by murderers, thugs, and dictators. Is this the same U.N. whose peacekeapers are consistently raping young children in Africa? Or is this the America hating U.N. that was involved with the oil for food scam in Iraq?

Last, I checked, American soldiers were raping and torturing as well...

We have certain people that always post hateful, generalized posts. Two that I could think of right now. Usually filled with sarcasm and venom.

Could we address those people? It's hard not to attack when ALWAYS getting attacked by the same people. Shouldn't have to report em. It's plainly obvious who they are.

Anytime you feel "violated" report the Post if a mod thinks it is a violation of the TOS they will edit the post.

And the extremely few isolated incidents were dealt with severely. What I do hear are false accusations from people on the left like John Murtha and John Kerry. But hey they support the troops but not the mission

Extremely isolated? Obviously you have never been in combat. :chuckle

The incidents of illegal activities are extremely high in high stress combat environments. Sometimes you can't blame the soldiers, sometimes you can. In ANY case, trying to say the UN is so horrible without admitting the US does the same exact things is very silly.

We all KNOW we do the same exact things.

Okey dokey folks.....this thread's about universal healthcare.

I'm willing to let threads take twists & turns but let us get back eventually to the OP. Alright? Alright.

This thread is giving me gray hairs. And I'm too young for that!

Ok, question, for those who think we should have universal health care, what else needs to be changed in order to make it work? For those who do not believe we should have universal health care, what needs to be done to make it work?

With Benadryl and h2 blockers you are ready to prevent an anaphylactic reaction from bee stings...At least you have a well prepared first aid kit..

And back to our regularly scheduled discussion.....

I'm glad you know my personal history or are those just assumptions?
