Contract completion question

Nurses Recovery

Published

Ok groupies. My contract will be up next week!! According to my cm my license should be clear on the board of nursing website approximately one week after I submit my last eval, which will be this Friday. Soooo, I want to apply for a job close to home as I work an hour away. Does anyone know what other sites, besides nursys, I need to check and make sure my license is clear on before I start applying for jobs close to home?

I met with the PEG and had my final evaluation then their decision went to the board meeting which was the following month. After the board stamped their approval on it, my license was completely in the clear. But once I met with the PEG, I was no longer required to check in daily; although I was still able to access the site, it wouldn't let me actually check in for UDS's. I was no longer required to attend my nurse support group, meetings (but I still do) or submit any reports.

Hi Wenman81, have you had any trouble getting a hospital job since you order was completed? I have a Warning w/Stips in Texas until this December. I've been offered a couple of ER jobs, and gone through the pre-employment process only to have HR recind my offer. I'm really hoping that won't still happen after this dang order is over!

Just check your state BON website that will be the most accurate and the one most employer's will use. My license is free and clear with no dicipline showing - but there was never a criminal complaint against me.

Hppy

That is awesome! Congratulations. I wish you all the best!

My license will be clear on the Texas BON website, but probably not on nursys. I was wondering if someone in Texas has had a hard time finding a job after their disciplinary action was over.
