  1. Hello All, My pediatric preceptor apparently has some issues with me and now I am under academic review in my FNP program, only 7 months away from graduation. She said i was unprofessional, threw temper tantrums in the office, that I falsified clinical hours because I did not deduct my lunch hour (I work through lunch), and that I falsified the social history on a SOAP note that she signed off on. My online instructor was outraged and bought everything she said. I am beside myself because I thought we were getting along well and had no idea she felt this way about me. She never said anything to me regarding these complaints. We even text eachother the night before she made these complaints about me picking up some extra hours. Has anyone experienced or heard of an issue like this occurring?
  2. I am 10 months away from graduating as an APRN. I have been off monitoring for 3 years. I still will always have that black mark on my RN license and I have to inform each clinical site of my past disciplinary history. My first clinical site had no problem with this. However, I am about to tell my second clinical site which is a chain peds facility and I have to go through HR. I do not know what to do and am so anxious that they will reject me... Ugh. Any advice? At any rate, yes it is possible to become an APRN but you need to check with your BON to make sure. I did that and got full clearance.
  3. Anyone know if you can join the military with previous disciplinary history? My license is unencumbered. Discipline is in the past. Thanks in advance.
  4. I finally found insurance through a broker. Its going to cost 2k for the year. Sheesh. But hey, at least I can get my clinicals done and finish school!
  5. I was caught in 2010. Could not get a job initially etc. Finally got a job in 2014 and worked off my stips. Released January of 2015 and have been working as an RN on a tele floor at a large hospital system since without issue. In NP school at walden and about 18 months out from graduation. Cleared by the board for licensure as an APRN after graduation. But, having a hard time finding student insurance coverage due to disciplinary history. Anyone know of an insurance company that will insure a nurse post discipline? The ones I have spoke to say it has to have been 10 years from the date of release from the BON. Ugh. Any advice appreciated. Thank you
  6. I have past discipline and I'm at Walden. Applied at another but Walden didn't even ask about my past history. HOWEVER, when I get a preceptors I have to disclose plus I need insurance and as an rN I have been turned down by about every company. Anyone who has been faced with these hurdles have any advice?
  7. The board will begin an investigation regardless of the timing. Ultimately, their only responsibility is to protect the public from impaired nurses. It's guilty until proven otherwise pretty much. Get a lawyer, get a drug test at a reputable company with documented chain of command, and get another job before it's too late.
  8. I would not disclose that. Period. If you are really concerned the best person to ask is a lawyer.
  9. Thanks for the advice! I just hope they will give me insurance. Does anyone know of an insurance company that will insure with a past disciplinary history?
  10. Thank you for answering! I've completed monitoring so that's one less hurdle. I'm clear now but it's always in my past. I have searched a couple times and nothing has popped up on here. I'll try again. I'd also like to know if anyone had any trouble with lcoensing, insurance, and credentialing after they finished school. How do you like walden?
  11. Hi everyone, so I was reprimanded with restrictions and served my time. I have been clean and licensed and working for over a year now. I'm currently applying at NP schools and was asked about my disciplinary history. Sigh. I'll be honest, I have to. But, has anyone else had experience getting into NP school with a history? Also, if accepted and if able to finish, what about getting credentialed and insured? I haven't been able to get insurance as an RN due to my disciplinary history. Sigh. Any insights will be much appreciated.
  12. I would not. Absolutely no.
  13. How long did it take yall to get a clear license once you turnedin your final eval? What's the process like? I turned in my eval a week ago and haven't heard anything and I can still access recovery trek. Anyone know what to expect next?
