Contract completion question

Ok groupies. My contract will be up next week!! According to my cm my license should be clear on the board of nursing website approximately one week after I submit my last eval, which will be this Friday. Soooo, I want to apply for a job close to home as I work an hour away. Does anyone know what other sites, besides nursys, I need to check and make sure my license is clear on before I start applying for jobs close to home?

Sorry I don't have advice on where to check, but let me be the first to say:

Thanks cat mom :-)

I didn't think discipline is ever gone from nursys. I know my license will go from active/conditional to active/clear

but will always show discipline in past.

Nursys will show I completed requirements, but will always show up on my record for life.

What state are you from

Nursys will always show it. Sadly. I just didn't know if anyone knows of any other websites I need to check.

Focus on your accomplishment. You have an active clear license in your state and ready to work.

Just the OIG list. Some nurses are placed on that list. It is an exclusion list from federal workplaces etc.. But many nurses have removed themselves from this list. Look up OIG exclusion list.

That is the only other website I can think of at this time.

Once I jumped thru the last hoop, I checked myself on nursys, off the radar and I was happy!

What do you mean off the radar? I thought it stayed forever?

Mine was wiped clean. If you check me out on Nursys, there is no evidence of my ever having been disciplined or being on contract for 5 years. That was part of my contract. I had to complete the 5 years without issue and they would basically wipe my slate clean.

Did you have a board order or were you in a nurse assistance program?

I dealt with our BON. We have something called the Professional Evaluation Group that is connected to our board and members of the board sit on it. We don't have a nurse assistance program in our state.

How long did it take yall to get a clear license once you turnedin your final eval? What's the process like? I turned in my eval a week ago and haven't heard anything and I can still access recovery trek. Anyone know what to expect next?

I met with the PEG and had my final evaluation then their decision went to the board meeting which was the following month. After the board stamped their approval on it, my license was completely in the clear. But once I met with the PEG, I was no longer required to check in daily; although I was still able to access the site, it wouldn't let me actually check in for UDS's. I was no longer required to attend my nurse support group, meetings (but I still do) or submit any reports.
