Hi I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the agency "continental travel nurse"? I recently applied to them and received a call back and was wondering if anyone knows anything about this agency? Good or bad?

Thanks

HI guys, i'm also regstering with CTN. Are you having troubles being placed? I was hoping i'd be able to begin nursing ASAP after registering.

Haven't heard from my recruiter in over a month. Was asked by someone where my placement was once I'm registered and didn't even realise that we were supposed to have gotten onto the actual hiring stage where they actually look at my documents -_-

Hi,

How did your OSCE go?

I noticed going back in this thread there were people saying that had many issues working with CTN in regards to housing, contracts, recruiters being rude/difficult, etc. Have you not had this experience or any other concerns with them?

I would not recommend CTN if you plan to be deployed ASAP after you received your DL. Its not actually being like an NHS-hired nurse where you can be sure of their deployment plans. After you had your DL, that's the time they will find you a hospital assignment which can take months. Some have been waiting for more than 6 months with no assurance.

Hey guys- so what's the story with this? Have the whole Guys and Thommies trust decided not to take on any Tier 2's? Does anyone know why??

How long are CTN expecting you to hang around waiting for an assignment in London?

we're still waiting. Hoping they can find a hospital to take us in. Its horribly unbearable to wait this long, but what choice do we have? We can only give our trust to CTN. Everytime we try to follow up their responses are always "you are not forgotten", "we apologize for the unforseen delays",etc. I think they lack enthusiasm in scouting for hospitals.

I just passed the IELTS and am starting the application process to work with them, I'll be looking to go in the summer of 2014 most likely after getting some more experience. I'm a bit curious about the housing arrangements and rent compared to the rate of pay as well. London is definitely an expensive place to live.

Hi there! Now that some time has passed, can you share with us your experience with CTN? Thanks!

Hello!

Just saw the conversation you guys were having here and I'm a bit relieved to know that I am not the only one waiting for a placement from CTN. I received my DL first week of May, and have had my medical tests done right after. I know it has only been more than a month, but not knowing when I am going to be deployed is so frustrating. I still haven't filed filed resignation from my current workplace, because CTN has advised me not to render resignation yet UNTIL such time that they have a confirmed placement for me. Do you guys have any updates regarding this matter? How long do you think this waiting game would take? :/

Hello!

Just wondering who here are under CTN in ipams. Im just curious if you have been deployed already for In my case, im still waiting for a hospital assignment. The wait is becoming somewhat unbearable.

Hi!

I'm under CTN thru IPAMS as well. Also waiting for a hospital assignment. Do you have any news/updates from them? Thank you!

Hello everyone. I'm also under CTN-IPAMS. I got my DL last year and since then I've been waiting for my hospital assignment. So basing from this forum alone, there are actually a lot of applicants who have the same sentiments as mine. Most probably this waiting game would take more months. Is there anyone in here who has any first hand info from those CTN'ers who were already deployed in the UK? How are there housing, job placements, etc. going on there? Thanks.

Hey guys,

has anyone recieved information regarding rate of pay? I've asked a couple of times and about a contract but theyve blatantly disregarded the questions and only addressed other parts of the emails. I havent pushed the subject yet because i dont have my pin but still it would be nice to know...

Try checking out RCN pay scale 2016-17 and start at band 5 as that is usually starting point so should give you a rough idea
