what is considered a normal respiratory rate

Published

I thought it was 16-20 but kaplan seems to think 24 is okay???

thanks!

For an adult 12-20 is "normal"

normal adult resp rate is 12-20/min, kaplan is suck ssometimes..

We were taught 12-24 in our school.

I was taught 12-20. Sometimes I think Kaplan may have a mind of their own. For the most part people love them, but it seems like there are a few questions that MANY people disagree with. Plus those same questions go against what many nurses do on a daily basis.

I learned 12-20 from Galen, but in my NCLEX made Incredibly Easy textbook it says 16-20 is normal... I wish everyone taught the same for "normal values"

Definitely 12-20. Did you see respiratory rate of 24 in a priority question like who would you see first? Because then a respiratory rate of 24 would be okay (well, not okay but less of a priority) compared to someone having an MI at that every moment
