Hello ,
so I graduated nursing school in December. I applied to the Ohio board of nursing in October so that by graduation everything would be in. I do have a misdemeanor charge on my background from 2014 so it took a lot longer than I expected. I was finally approved by the board to sit for NCLEX so I tested on 4/3/19 and used the quick results to find out I passed. Because of my background I now have to sign a consent agreement and I have no clue what to expect. My application says “In Review” and I’ve reached out to the board and nothing. Just wondering if anyone has had to go through this. How long does it take to get a consent agreement? Does it comes via mail or email? All experience with this is appreciated
Btw the charge was for petty theft and yes I know it was wrong/stupid and everything else so please save that lecture!

I did find some information online about consent agreements with the Ohio Board of Nursing. I don't know if you've already found them or found them to be helpful.
It seems that most consent agreements are in relation to substance use, but your doesn't fall in that category. I don't know if this makes the process take longer because they have to develop a program for you to follow?
Sorry I couldn't be more help. For this reason, a lot of people seek to get their records expunged before applying to nursing school. All I can say is good luck and hang in there.
