She said if I take it at the same time as NUR 1120 then most students don't do well jugging both classes at the same time. she also mentioned that if I hadn't taken GEN BIO yet then I would need to take that before micro, BUT apparently only TRCC has this requirement? so if I take it at another CT State CC then I can take micro without the general biology requirement..? well I went to register for micro for an online class over the Summer at another CT State CC and it continues to tell me that I need General Biology and now General Chemistry as a requirement before I can take micro.
I am very frustrated because these classes should be part of the pre-reqs that we need to take before being able to apply to the nursing program. So now I need to possibly take Chemistry, Biology, and MicroBio ALL before fall semester starts? There is no way that is going to happen. Does anyone know of where I can take Microbiology online where the credits would transfer to a CT State CC. I know Univ of Phoenix is accepted, but they are a little too expensive for me and I'm not sure if they accept financial aid packages.
What is everyone else doing about Microbiology?
Take Microbio online through Johns Hopkins School of Nursing - no prereqs, slightly cheaper than University of Phoenix, and just think of all the time, stress, and money you'd save only taking one class that you don't have to even show up for in-person.
I know some of you mentioned different dates of the campus you're all going to, and I was wondering if Gateway is the earliest to have their orientation? Wanted to send a reminder that orientation at Gateway is next week Monday! The packet mentioned bringing an envelope with signed forms so I suppose thats the main thing to do.
I am having some confusion over the CPR requirement on Castlebranch. It gives me the the option of doing either American Heart Association or AMerican Red Cross. I am not sure if there is a specific title I need to register for within the ARC class search. Is In-person classes required instead of online courses? Castlebranch doesn't specify but I want to ask if any of you guys have done this or have some advice. Thanks
