Hey just wondering if anyone on here was previously accepted to their program and how it is and if you don't mind sharing your stats. Also anyone else on here that's applied already for 2015? I just submitted my application last week.

Specializes in Alzheimer's, Geriatrics, Chem. Dep..

Sounds exciting! I am not familiar with it but hopefully you will get some good responses. Just wanted to welcome you to Allnurses!

I sent in my application yesterday so hoping transcripts and LORs make it there before Jan. 2!

Stats for me: 3.6 pre-req GPA ( will be taking micro in the spring) and 3.1 cumulative GPA with a degree in Kinesiology. Student-athlete in college, have tons of general volunteer experience. I was a volunteer in the CVICU at my university's medical center for a year and now currently volunteering at Yale New Haven Hospital. I also did my practicum shadowing a variety of clinical nurses for over 6 months. Hoping 2015 will bring me good news!

I just got an email stating that my application is now ready for review!

My application is also ready for review, I'm so nervous! Does anyone know how many students get accepted into the program?

I am currently in the program. First degree in early childhood education, 3.5 gpa. 3.8 prerequisite gpa. I love the program. They accepted 45 this year, 2 did not stay because of financial reasons. I believe roughly 250 people apply per year. I can say the stats of the class are across the board, some 3.1 gpa, others 3.9. I think what most people have in common is some sort of medical experience prior to coming, EMT's, CNA's, or volunteer experience in a health care setting.

How do you like the program? Professors? Clinical? Any information would be great!

thanks for the info! One more question did you have an interview before you were accepted?

surprisingly we did not.

This is a silly question but when you heard back was it a big envelope or regular sized? Lol Also where do you guys do your clinicals at?

Thanks for the information! :) I was wondering, after they accepted you how long did you have to give your decision?

:) Wishing everyone good luck! Hopefully March 1st comes soon!
