I've read through last year's version of this thread 100 times, so I thought I'd start a new one. I'm planning to apply for NCC's 2014 program. I'm taking A&P I right now (A- midterm grade, hoping to make that an A!) and will need to do the software applications class online in the winter session, so I won't be able to submit my app until final grades are out for that. Hopefully I won't be cutting it too close to the Feb 1st deadline! I'm taking my TEAS on November 18th.
Who else is applying? Where are you in the application process? Post your TEAS scores and GPA stats if you know them! My nursing GPA will be almost a 3.8 with an A- in A&P and an A in CSA105, but I dropped out two semesters in a row in 2006 (one semester medically excused but still on my transcript, the other no excuse, just screwed up being 19 and not very serious about my education at that time) I hope those hiccups won't count against me too much, luckily none of the classes I was taking at the time applied to the nursing program.

After reading about everyone's experiences, it seems like nobody gets in the first time they apply. I've pretty much convinced myself that I'm going to be waitlisted. I just want this wait to be over!!!
jules71710, people do get in the first time - I promise! I applied last year for the first time, and got in (NVCC). Really, the issue is if your scores are there or not, and it doesn't matter how many times you've applied before.
Generally, when people reapply they do so with better grades. I know people who didn't get in last spring who went right ahead and signed up to retake A&P I in the fall to boost their chances this time around. Of course, you're applying "against" a different group each year, so you might be more or less competitive based on the applicant pool, but don't feel like getting denied is a rite of passage you must go through. You could have that acceptance waiting for you - I hope you do! Best of luck to you and everyone else.

I am so frustrated because I got accepted to bhsn and its my second choice. But, since we have not heard yet from community college I needs to send in the $150 bhsn deposit just in case.
