OMG. All my future nurses I got an acceptance letter from ccsf's lvn program (cheap and free) hopefully . Anyway. Shall I go?? or not?? I really want to be an RN.. RN, but I applied three this year and got rejected from all. So my original plan was to apply for RN program in the fall semester of this year. or coming up ear. Anyway, but now I got into this free LVN program. CCSF. What shall I do? Go or not GO>
Please give me some advices and information on LVN to RN program.. I need to be an RN people. I am aging.
I WANT TO CRY CUZ I KNOW PEOPLE WHO APPLIED FOR THEIR PROGRAM FOR THREE YEARS AND JUST GOT ACCEPTED CUZ IT IS A LOTTORY BASED PROGRAM. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME APPLYING AND i GOT IN.
SOS..SOS.. PLEASE PEOPLE I NEED YOUR HELP
cI live in SF also, and I was never able to get into CCSF and had to pay the big bucks for a private school
education :) .... but I do know that after you get finished with your LVN you can apply to the CCSF RN program bypassing the lottery - at least that was the way a few friends I know did it. City College has a bridge program, but the screening exam is difficult to pass - if you pass you are accepted into the RN program. I think they only knock a semester off the RN course work, so it will still be a year and a half of school after your LVN. Something to think about.
If this is a valid, accreditated program, then, go for free and check out the RN afterwards. You have time to look into Excelsior and other programs in the meanwhile. Good luck!
I need to know my RN now, cuz once i am in then I am. I have no other choices. I just want to know what is like to apply to the lvn to rn program? is it very competitive? cuz i found there are a lot of lvn students and eventually not all of them are going to be get accept into rn program? What is the chance for me to get into rn school with the lvn license?
Anyone please.

You have no idea how lucky you are to be in California. Students in most other states have to pay huge tuitions for their nurses training.
