I can understand you are disappointed by getting into the LPN program instead of a RN program but I started as a LPN and wouldn't have it any other way. My LPN program was far more rigorous than my ADN bridge program and the BSN was a joke. Of the utmost importance to me also was that I was able to work as a LPN while I did the pre-reqs and then got my RN and during that time made over $70,000.
I'm confused too but probably for different reasons. You're disappointed you didn't qualify for an RN program, ok. But if you want to be a nurse you did get into a program, so why are you now talking about giving up?
To me it looks like being pregnant with twins is the problem you should be thinking through. You can't miss classes and clinicals to give birth and recover, even if you have family to help you will lose time. So how do you plan to finish the LPN program?
Reality check Indeed on multiple levels... for the record, LPNs are nurses. LPNs aren't Not RNs, but we are nurses in our own right. We do help the sick and injured as would an RN. Think of it as stepping stones. I guess you're only 22 anyway.. can't expect the most mature response from you.
Why would you feel discouraged? Being an LPN gave me a lot of opportunity to learn more on the job as a NURSE, while apply for the RN program. Trust me, I know your disappointment because I was the same way 2 yrs ago when I wasn't in the RN program. I am telling you, I gained so much experience as an LPN that I am very humble and gracious to be a nurse at 22. I have no kids yet but you will make it. Nurses make a good pay and the job is rewarding:) Good luck to you.
Wow, I can't believe how rude some people in this post are. If this is your dream and if you want it dearly, you will find a way. Don't give up! If I were you, I would youtube the topics of your weakest areas. There are some really great and informative videos on their that explains the topic in detail. Don't give up!

Who is being rude? If she got a score to get into an LVN program, she should take it. There is nothing wrong with being an LVN, we are still nurses. Also the program is shorter (not easier) than a generic RN program so it might be best for her since she is expecting twins.
Looking at your comments on other posts I can see you aren't in nursing school. These responses are from experienced nurses who have been there, done that. Nursing school is very strict & someone can only miss a certain amount of time. Since the OP is expecting twins it might be smarter for her to go the LVN path. I don't know what her plan is after her babies are born but you need plan A, B & C.

I took the teas test twice and only score high enough to get into the Lpn program. Now I'm studying to take it again but I'm feeling extremely discouraged. I have always wanted to be a nurse and I could never see myself doing anything else. I'm 22years old and I have twins on the way. Should I just give up maybe it isn't for me but then what would I do. I love to help me people and that is my passion. How can I pass the teas test
