Hello,
I have been accepted to Conestoga College's RPN September 2016 program and the only thing I am concerned about is being forced to take the flu shot.
Has anyone on here refused, or know of someone who did and was still able to continue in the program and placements?
Thanks so much in advance for your help,
Ally
Since when is attending school a right? I think the vaccine is silly as well, but since I want t go to school, I understand that I must follow the rules set out by the school and need to get it. That's how life works. You do the things you need to do in order to do the things you want to do.
What if the student is proven to be allergic to the vaccine? How is that the student fault at not following the rules?
My eyesight isn't perfect so I can never be a test pilot. Is that a human rights violation?
I know, it sucks, but rules are put in place for a reason and this rule isn't new. I am pretty sure it was stated on the school website before applications were being accepted.
It sucks if you have an actually medical reason. Anyways, good luck
It would seem illegal to me because you could argue an allergy is a disability and they are refusing you because of that. I think it should be up to the person to prove it but it seems u reasonable to refuse due to the allergy... Or if it's possible to have an alternative vaccine without the allergens? I'm for vaccines being mandatory but I'm like... Everyone's got ailments that we need to try to work with...
