Conestoga college RPN 2016 waterloo and Doon campuses

Hi everyone, first time poster long time lurker lol. Congrats to everyone accepted to their programs! I've been offered acceptance to conestoga college rpn for September 2016 start for both Doon and waterloo campuses but was wondering if anyone had experience at the newer waterloo facility?

I've toured Doon and know others who had great things to say but can find little information on schlegel village besides the colleges program booklet and some news articles. It looks like a great facility and is an accelerated program but I'm not sure if long term care will be right for me. I would like to bridge into a bscn afterwards. If anyone has attended or has experience with the waterloo campus and could offer advice I would really appreciate it! Ty :)

Hello all! I was also accepted to Waterloo campus as well. There was not much information other than the program handbook. Does anyone know if there is open house for the Schlegel village not like waterloo campus open house? Anyways congrats to all :)

Hi Hannah, congratulations! I was only able to attend a Doon campus open house in the Winter as there wasn't one available for Waterloo, but that may have changed for Spring, I'd probably contact one of the Conestoga representatives regarding open houses :)

Finally accepted my offer at Doon after visiting there yesterday. I was really impressed how clean the school was. I think I've made the best decision for me and cannot wait to get started. I also got a place at the Conestoga Commons for Sept, love the amenities especially 24hr fitness.

Congratulations Paige! I also found the Doon campus to be quite nice and have heard good things about the facilities, the new gym on campus will definitely be a great bonus.

So, random question for all of you!

I graduated from Conestoga's PN program in 2013 and am just finishing my last year of the bridging program. Back then we didn't have to write the HOAE. My best friend has applied for the PN program (January start), and I'm wondering what everyone's marks were like for those who were accepted (for pre-Reqs and HOAE). She has an 89% average in her pre requisites and is writing her HOAE today! Any input would be awesome!

I found the HOAE quite difficult and ended up with a 79% score which apparently isn't too bad (I thought it wasn't that good) with grades like that I'm sure she will do really well. The HOAE tests all sorts of areas although being timed sometimes throws people off. Best of luck to her and you!
