Concordia University Irvine ABSN Summer 2021

This will be the thread to discuss the application and interview process for CUI's ABSN program beginning Summer 2021.

Judging by the thread from last year, interview invitations go out in late February, with acceptances being announced at the end of March. There appears to have been a group interview as well as a timed essay component.

Looking forward to hearing from this year's Applicant pool!

I  received an email earlier this week stating that we would be notified via email by the second week of March. Decision letters by the 2nd week of April. Although as you mentioned, last year's thread indicated late February and end of March. I wonder how competitive this year will be!

Hey thanks for checking in with new applicants. What are the clinical site locations they are using for your cohort? And what do you recall of the interview content and dress code? I don't want to be the only one wearing a suit... or the only one not hahaha.

@Sese Otokhine I really enjoy it. It is tough at times, but definitely worth it. We are currently online for our lecture courses (it should change to in-person soon but we are still given the option to remain online if we prefer to), but we must go in person for our labs. I also started clinicals this semester. The program does go by pretty quickly!

Hi @redacted my cohort has Mission Hospital, St. Joseph's, Saddleback, and a few others.

For my interview, it was via zoom but a lot of ppl dressed business casual. I dressed business casual with some slacks, button up top and a blazer. You'll be fine with wearing a suit ? I saw a couple of guys wearing suits for the interview.
