Concordia University Irvine ABSN Fall 2021

Hi everyone! I noticed that there wasn't a thread yet for CUI's Fall 2021 ABSN program and wanted to start one! Is there anyone else applying?

I received my email at 10:17 AM.  Anyone else scheduled Friday the 16th from 8AM-1:15PM?

I'm excited Concordia is my first choice, short duration, excellent NCLEX pass rate, and I live 10 minutes from Irvine.

Does anyone have a list of questions from prior years?

I'm also schedule for that time :). Also, there was a list of questions on the previous page from one of the nursing students at Concordia, if I recall correctly!

Hi, for the people who got interviews I was just curious about what your stats were when you applied?

Hi @WillSu! I applied with a 3.7 overall GPA and a 4.0 prerequisite GPA. For medical experience, I worked as a medical scribe for four years and as a medical assistant in an outpatient clinic for 9 months. Hopefully this helps! ?

I received an invitation to interview as well!  I'm 8am on the 17th :).  Question: the 2"x2" photo that we need to include in our confirmation email back should be like a 2"x2" from walgreens/CVS photo or something?  I'm a little confused on that.

My stats were cum 3.2 (last 60 units 3.86), science prereqs 4.0, about 2 years CNA experience in a magnet hospital with some pretty solid letters of recommendation.

@stone562 I think a 2x2 from walgreens/CVS should satisfy the requirement. I believe it's similar to a passport photo. I'm considering just taking a photo at home with a white background.

@CBShiro I was thinking the same thing, but I don't know how to make sure the photo is just 600 pixels and the email seems pretty strict on formatting.  Oh well, probably overthinking it, LOL.

@stone562  I believe it's when you resize the photo it has to be 600x600. I think as long as the picture is in jpg/jpeg format and is no bigger than 240 kb you should be good ?
