Hi all! I applied to CTX's ABSN Fall 2020 program. I just heard back that my completion plan was approved by the Registrar! Anyone else applying? Also would love to hear from past cohorts!

How long did it take for them to respond to you after your application was complete? How have you made arrangements to pay for the program? Did they allow you to get any scholarships? I do have an associates and almost finished with my first bachelor’s degree so I know I don’t have much financial aid left. I’ll probably have to resort to private student loans. Sorry for all the questions, just trying I find out as much as I can so I can be comfortable with my decision.

Im not sure exactly how long it took but it was fairly quick. I took out loans for the full cost as did most people in the program I know of. You can get outside scholarships but the school doesn't directly offer any.

Was the cost of tuition ever a worry for you? I’m struggling to figure out if it’s worth the debt. I’m from Ca though so it’s very competitive here and I might have to wait years to get in here. Maybe worth it for the cost to get in and done to start working and paying off the debt?

Definitely was a factor but in my opinion it was worth it because most nurses I know were in debt for a little and have the chance to make a ton of money to pay it off, especially in california
Hi there.
I am applying and if accepted, will start this program in Summer 2021.
I was wondering if anyone has had a job while doing nursing school and how manageable is it to work?
I am trying to get a weekend position at my current job to work 6am-10pm every Saturday and Sunday and I have known a few people who work this position while going to school but none were in nursing school.
I'd like to get advice from someone in the program. Also, does anyone have an idea how long you are in class for? For example, 7am to 6pm, 8am to 4pm every day, etc. Any rough estimate would be great though I'm sure it will vary

I would also like to chat, hearing back from the school soon! Wondering if there is a group message for this?
Hello,
There are two approved ways of creating a special area for your cohort on this site.
One: create a facebook page. This link may be posted.
Two: create a "club" for your cohort by clicking on the Breakroom link in the yellow bar to the left of this page. Then click on “Create A New Club” in the green bar at the top of the page, and follow instructions.
References to other than these two avenues will be moved from view, to comply with the Terms of Service.
Thank you.
